This sums up my entire opinion on the situation, until the incident, I liked Mickey as a housemate, but it was ridiculously uncomfortable to watch.

This being defended is peak TiBB lol. What he said was repulsive, his age and quirks are certainly no excuse, and the gaslighting playing it down - "he only called her a lesbian" :idc: and "he meant a cigarette" just daft.

The only vague excuse I can think of that comes close to explaining it is that his brain has been rattled one too many times.

It's also beyond question that a civvy BB house mate's feet wouldn't have touched the ground on the way out the back door.

The usual suspects out in force to defend blatant homophobia and attack the victim of said homophobia for how she dealt with it, shock horror

I naively for a split second thought when I saw it, "no one will be able to fully defend this" but I realised that such a thought was ridiculous and of course they'd be defending it before I even logged in :joker:.

Jojo's partner Kate Ebbs has been abusive about the incident on social media

I'm not saying this excuses the way he spoke to JoJo, but it's interesting how he doesn't seem tomind gay men - he was concerned about what pronouns to use with Danny, he complimented his drag costume to BB, and used to work in a tranny bar :joker:

Disliking one lesbian doesn't mean you dislike all lesbians.

The way that I saw it is that he made an ill-judged joke on the assumption that JoJo would be thick-skinned enough to take it and probably give it back as a bit of fun smack-talking, but when JoJo crumbled he thought **** it and doubled down.

I actually do not think he is homophobic or transphobic at all.. He seems very liberal to me, in all honesty, but just '90s liberal' and not modern 'woke liberal'.

He just tried to joke like it was the 90s still and quickly found out that doesn't work on mainstream telly any more, especially among those that do understand the medium and the BB audience base..
