OOOhhhh....it doesn;t bear thinking about Busy bee !

My answer is GAS...though I have electric at the moment.

If ever you have time I'll tell you the long and SAD tale of how my brand new EXPENSIVE fitted STOVES gas gear failed on Christmas eve after STOVES failed to come and look at it although it was not working correctly 3 weeks before the festive season. I was left with NO cooking fascilities for 3 weeks and then had it all removed.I demanded compensation from STOVES but did not of course get it although eventually with the help of the local consurer advice centre they did pay for the new stuff to be refitted. I had to have electric because i could find no gas equipment that fitted the holes left by the STOVES faulty stuff.Found out 6 onths later that my niece had had the same trouble with her STOVES equipment abd it too 2 years to sort out by being replaced with a new one. REMEMber that name ....STOVES !

But of course I will only tell you if you have time to spare !

Long explanations or short ones :laugh::laugh:

BusyBee 24-10-2003 09:54 PM

After that tear wrenching story has to be long drawn out stories (you just have to have all the interesting bits). What a truly fascinating story you do tell Boris.

LEE 25-10-2003 01:00 AM

Coronation Street. EE is OK, but Corrie beats it hands down in my book.

sweetlittlesara 25-10-2003 02:37 AM

Vincent Van Gough or Micheal Angello

Romantic Old Bird 25-10-2003 05:26 PM

Vincent van Gogh or Michelangelo I think we mean don't we Sticks?

This is ssoooooo difficult because I love them both and they are very different.
Michelangelo was a genius. Everything, his sculptures, his paintings, stunning. I actually wept when I saw them in Florence because they were so beautiful it HURT.

Vincent van Gogh was I believe manic depressive or possibly shcizophrenic. He was totally tortured poor man, and driven with a passion that bounces off the canvas. I love the boldness, the texture and the richness. Seeing his work makes me hurt for him. Unlike Michelangelo, he didn't work to commision, he just HAD to paint, even though he was tortured by what he saw as his lack of ability.

All of which is my long-winded way of saying, if I must choose between them:

Next .....

Shopping in a shopping centre or shopping at a market?

Boris 25-10-2003 07:31 PM

Well it really doesn depend on what one is looking for.

On the whole I like shopping centres best.
Like to keep dry and warm and have plenty of stops for coffee !

On the shopping theme...

Shopping alone or with a friend ( or sister...I did that today )

Sticks 25-10-2003 08:32 PM

Shopping alone

Its faster
No hastles

Plus as I live alone and have nobody I have no choice :bawling:

On a previous one I would have chosen the open air market as I like to see open sky and shopping centres are claustraphoibic

Ok

 or :hello:

rachb 25-10-2003 10:50 PM

I like  best because he's dancing

Wine or Beer

Amy 25-10-2003 11:24 PM

Boris 26-10-2003 08:06 PM

Janette 26-10-2003 11:16 PM

I don't actually 'get' either of them - too clever for me, but I love Peter Kay so I'll go for Phoenix Nights.

Arnie as governer or Arnie as actor

rachb 27-10-2003 12:30 AM

Actor I think stick to what he knows best:thumbs:

Halloween or Bonfire night

sweetlittlesara 27-10-2003 01:30 AM

Bonfire Night - I love the fireworks! and the smell of the bonfires, and wearing your gloves and waving the sparkler ooooh the memories.

Blonde or Brunette?

BusyBee 27-10-2003 01:28 PM

Blonde (cos that's me with a little help now though) but saying that I much prefer Brunette men so you pay your money and take your choice.

Jam or marmalade (on toast)

LEE 27-10-2003 01:48 PM

Marmalade - though I shouldn't be having either of them at the moment due to Slimming World :bawling:

Pen or Pencil

kaphc 27-10-2003 02:05 PM

Pencil because you can rub out any mistakes (do I sound like a control freak now?)

On a topical theme ....

Princes William & Harry or Paul Burrell!

Janette 27-10-2003 02:17 PM

Definitely the princes,

I can't say on this forum exactly what I think of Mr Burrell (I'd be banned for using profanities!)

Laurel or Hardy?

Boris 27-10-2003 03:22 PM

That's a bit like saying
Morcombe or Wise the 2 go together

( and yes I know I have spelt it wrong)
But I'll go for the little weedy one. He has such a soulful expression !I think that is Stan Laurel

Bare feet or shoes on

BusyBee 27-10-2003 09:05 PM

Bare feet (spend most of my time with shoes off - used to have my shoes confiscated at school for the day because I would sit with them off under my desk)
