I understand that - since everybody unintentionally throws things away...like chewing gum or a little sweet wrapper.

But I don't understand the mentality where your rubbish makes no difference. Because it does, it's the act of everybody's neglect...and should you choose to not be so neglecting, then although there would be little change, it's at least something. It doesn't excuse laziness.

My home is far away from shops, the nearest being about 15 minutes drive, the motorway services.

Ok.... so let me get this straight, if you say have a can of something to drink or maybe a bag of crisps..... and you dont want to carry that 'filth' around with you. But havent you just eaten or drunk out of that 'filth'???

Well no, since, as I said, that's unintentional and everybody does unintentionally sometimes. But you've said up there that you throw away if there's not a bin within sight...which suggests you look around and then intentionally throw it away.

Can you not tell the difference between a full can and an empty one? I can. I mock people with empty cans. Especially if they have cold hands.

No, but I have rubbish from my house, or I am in town I always put it in a bin, never just drop it for some other person to sort out.

But Magic some people are payed to pick up rubbish.

On second thoughts... I know some of you arent responsible for your house hold bills but council tax is a hefty charge that all adults have to pay. Some of that tax pays for people to clean the streets..... think of how much money we could all avoid paying if we didnt drop so much litter

Again you're missing the point. I was not comparing the acts of murder and littering. Callum said he has a right to drop litter because he has free will. If everyone had the attitude then that means people have the right to go around assaulting people because it's "free will". Of course the comparison is an extreme but that's what is usually used in an analogy to exaggerate the point.

Anywho we all do our best not to drop litter but sometimes we drop it

One thing I found funny (or not but at the moment it was), it was in the London tube, on the evening and people got magazines. They read it in the tube and drop then on the seats. I was with an english friend and I told him "But they can't do that, there are magazines everywhere, why do they drop them ?" and this one told me "Well they drop it because an other guy will come and read it so it's like if they give it". It seemed weird lol

Ok.... lets put it another way, some is paid to steal from a jewelers or someone is paid to keep them safe (ie, protection money)

People that repeatedly drop litter should be given antisocial behavior orders and if they carry on dropping litter they should be given community service picking the stuff up!
