What annoys me and I find it so pathetic is how someone else can't do the same game just because that person invented it?

Fair enough asking them if it is OK. That would then be understandable, but not because you're doing another show and don't want to start Z game until after that which will be in like 3 months time.

Unless that person wants to do it there and then, then fine, but if they don't then why not let someone else do it.

because people don't want their hard work and great games ruined by some copycat.
