Following months of speculation, it looks like Coronation Street's Ashley Peacock and Molly Dobbs are set to fall victim to the tram crash.
And they're not the only ones whose death will mark the soap's 50th anniversary as Charlotte Hoyle will be murdered. Soap bosses have promised three deaths, a birth and a wedding during the week-long anniversary celebrations, which will air in the second week of December. Ashley (Steven Arnold) and Molly (Vicky Binns) will be crushed and trapped by falling rubble when the tram smashes through the viaduct above the Street and bursts into flames, reports The Sun. Molly will be seen trapped and dying, cradling baby Jack as her lover Kevin Webster and husband Tyrone Dobbs try to reach her under the rubble. After 15 years on the cobbles, Ashley will choke to death in the wreckage - despite the efforts of would-be rescuers, including cabbie Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles). Meanwhile, Charlotte (Becky Hindley) is smashed over the head with a hammer by a desperate John Stape (Graeme Hawley) and dies later of her injuries. But whether Charlotte will reveal the truth about Colin Fishwick's death before he manages to unplug her life support machine is being kept a closely guarded secret. New Corrie doctor Matt Carter (Oliver Mellor) will turn The Rovers Return into a makeshift hospital where, with help from Janice Battersby (Vicky Entwhistle) and Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth) he'll tend to the injured including Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne). And one tiny life is left hanging in the balance as Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) goes in to labour early, giving birth to baby Hope. But young Gary Windass (Mikey North) will find himself unable to join the rescue effort as the disaster brings on flashbacks from his time as a soldier in Afghanistan and he hides by his house. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D |

I would take any reports in tabloids with a ton of salt... I expect Corrie will be leaking fake spoilers themselves to cover any cast/extra leaks... ;)

They're about to talk about it on ITV1 Paul O Grady

Coronation Street fans searching for clues as to who survives the tram disaster in the show's 50th anniversary blockbusting storyline – apparently need to look no further.
Cast members – who presumably survive when carriages plummet off the viaduct onto the cobbles – were snapped arriving to film the funeral scenes at a former Roman Catholic seminary in Upholland in Lancashire. Brooke Vincent and Helen Flannagan (Sophie and Rosie Webster in the soap) and on-screen mum Sally – played by actress Sally Dynevor – were among those pictured at St Joseph's College. They were joined by Samia Smith (Maria Sutherland), Sacha Parkinson (Sian Powers) and Jimmi Harkishin (Dev Alahan) who were all dressed in black. It would seem Dev has a particularly amazing escape. The plunging tram demolished his shop in scenes filmed last month. The disaster episodes – to mark next month’s anniversary – are the most expensive ever made. Characters seen arriving for a late-night shoot last month, in which a special effects fireball from the crash soared over Manchester’s Granada Studios, included Peter Barlow, Carla Connor, Steve McDonald, Hayley Cropper and veteran cobbles resident Ken Barlow. But Corrie bosses have promised several twists and turns – so don’t rush to the bookies just yet. |
:O

i like Norris haha
|
To be fair they are all pretty close on the street & I expect most would turn up to anyones funeral...
BUT, my money's on it being Molly's... ;) |
Yeah same here....
Molly's: Dev - Yes he would be there because she worked with him in the corner shop and they were good friends. Maria - Yes because they are friends. Sally, Rosie, Sophie and Sian: Yes because Sally is a close friend of Molly's and Kevin is the dad of the baby. Yep...my money is also on Molly. |
:o
Peter will face further temptation when he gets a sexy surprise at Carla's flat. Following her arrest and charge for drink driving, Carla invites her confidante around to discuss the matter - but when Peter arrives, he's stunned to find her in a towel. It seems that Carla is now going all-out in her attempts to win Peter - but will he succumb to her advances? http://i2.cdnds.net/10/44/550w_soaps...g_071110_2.jpg Tina's first night pulling pints is the night of the devastating tram crash which will change life in Weatherfield forever. Just as Tina starts to settle in behind the bar, she hears a huge explosion at rival venue The Joinery and rushes outside to see what's going on. Moments later, a horrified Tina witnesses the tram dramatically career off the viaduct and crash into The Kabin. Could her boyfriend Graeme, who's in the flat above, lose his life in the carnage? And as Tina rushes down the street towards the scene of devastation, could she also perish on a fateful night for the street? http://i1.cdnds.net/10/44/550w_soaps...mcintyre_2.jpg |
I thought Graeme & Tina lived in the flat above the Corner Shop? :conf:
