Alec's really riveting to watch with his dead behind the eyes, emotionless facial expression and watching Peter for more than a micro-second is like watching and listening to someone dragging their nails across a blackboard.
"Different strokes..." though i suppose!

I suppose watching Alec manipulating and making an even bigger fool of Topaz could be amusing for about 5 seconds but it's just not enough for me so i'm sticking with supporting Andrew, Emmett and Jillian.

Bluerang1 05-04-2013 03:33 AM

I walked right into them Spoilers haha, I shoulda know.

Macie Lightfoot 05-04-2013 03:38 AM

Being a sociopath and being an idiot isn't entertaining, it's boring as ****.

Jack_ 05-04-2013 03:41 AM

HoH spoiler (but also a reply):

Spoiler:

Because a week of Emmett and Jillian making out in the HoH room totally isn't boring as **** either

Nah, Gary was the only player that I liked. Alec and Peter are too full of themselves. I don't like faking romantic relationships to advance in the game. Alec is dirty and Peter is annoying.

Marc 05-04-2013 10:11 AM

Aw Gary :( what a great contestant! So entertaining. He'll win the Canada's Player prize

Totally agree with you...these three have been my favourite from the start...
As far as Peter goes what has he done ? Nothing... Alec has treated Topaz appallingly using her for his own means ..
So pleased Gary went last night ,,hated how he spoke to Talla,,,would have been warned if on UKBB...but they seem to get away with far more on Canada
BB..

reece(: 05-04-2013 01:26 PM

Cannot stand The Shield so hopefully they're gone this week, then Talla and Topaz take over and evict the East Coasters

Marc 05-04-2013 01:43 PM

Talla/Topez final two

Is it a double eviction this week?

Ugh, I'm happy that Jillian won, and I hope this means Alec and Peter go home this week, but I'm a little mad that Andrew has been able to float his way through the game and still have a high chance of making f3 with Emmett and Jillian.

I hope Talla and Topaz can be the underdogs and pull through for a surprise f2. I would LOVE that!

Mokka 05-04-2013 05:25 PM

Andrew is no floater.

He has won two HoH ( one by default but still ) and a veto. He waited till the right time to do it but he is holding his own. He has also played the game behind the scenes. Just because he wasn't in with Alec or Emmett's alliances from the beginning does not make him a floater, it makes him smart.

He got Gary out. That is no small feat

Marc 05-04-2013 05:28 PM

They'll be worried Alec will win the next HoH and will want him out. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Alec isn't Jillians main target

All signs pointing to yes on this one

LemonJam 05-04-2013 05:38 PM

Are we saying floater as in the original definition or the Rachel Reilly definition? Because Andrew hasn't been either really (unless you don't count the alliance of 9 as an alliance).

I'm glad Gary and Topaz put her in her place.

Backing up a couple of days but Gary had no right to complain he was being treated like a child when he was acting like one over the slop situation. And I really like to see someone point out to him that his elected nickname is actually a notorious paeodophile.

Glad he's gone though and he won back a bit of respect for how he handled it as apart from evicting Tom (and even that was more about him being a dick than game) it's the first really smart game move they've made as a household.

Completely agree - and on the whole the (not) live shows just haven't felt as polished the last couple of weeks.

We can but hope.

Now that would be brilliant.

Also another irritation which I'm sure I've ironically enough bought up before but to recap I wish the opening recaps only recapped what was actually relevent to the episode. The Veto episode spent the first 30 seconds or so recapping Suzettes eviction which was just completely irrelevent to the episode.

Did anyone else notice that Emmet was sitting down during the HoH competition? certainly that must be against the rules.

Donovan. 06-04-2013 03:43 PM

Yeah I don't even understand how that competition was difficult or challenging. Maybe at most it was hell on their ankles, but not really their arms. I've only seen the bit on the live show, so maybe most of the competition was sloped downward, but that type of challenge works much better up high.

The housemates mentioned on live feed that night that Emmett was disqualified from the comp. I imagine it was for just that, sitting down, but I don't know why he was not told to stand like everyone else if that was the case.

I didn't look hard to us from a viewer standpoint, but the girls were cold enough to claim hypothermia in the end. The water coming down was freezing cold and they stood under it for hours

Donovan. 06-04-2013 05:19 PM

I completely forgot about the water and wind, I was just thinking that the actual competition looked a bit pointless because it wasn't lifted. Is the ceiling in the backyard too low for a raised competition like the pirate ship from BB14?

Yes, I think because they have made an indoor backyard due to winter conditions, they are limited in the scope of the competition structures. They just aren't as big as BBUS's. I also never saw the first season of BBUS, so I don't know if they started with smaller comps and built on the idea's over the seasons.

lostalex 06-04-2013 07:53 PM

Was BBUS season 1 in a different place than it is now?

Donovan. 06-04-2013 08:52 PM

Yeah the house moved after BB5 and that's when we got a 2 floor house. It didn't move far though, it was just across the LA river on the same CBS studio lot.

Brekkie 06-04-2013 08:54 PM

Season 1 followed the UK format, but the budget didn't really show on competitions until season 6/7 - not that they looked cheap at the time, but now looking back they kind of do.

I think the issue with this HoH comp is the US have done similar ones before (at least 2-3 times) which involved people on a ledge holding on to a rail, but the ledge was much narrower and the conditions seems more extreme. This may look a lot better in the edit on Sunday but just looked poor on live TV for 5 minutes.

yea the minute i saw it, it reminded me of BBUS10 the one where it was like an earthquake, and Dan gave inspiration speeches to everyone.

lostalex 06-04-2013 09:19 PM

This episode...

Mokka 06-04-2013 10:58 PM

The way the housemates were talking post challenge, it was the worst one yet for difficulty, despite the fact that the ledge seemed quite large.

That comp looked like torture :o I definitely wouldn't have lasted that long

Jack_ 08-04-2013 01:39 AM

That's disgusting :yuk: but this comp is <33

Producers have been watching BBUK I think

Jack_ 08-04-2013 01:46 AM

You have to commend Peter for that, good job

Emmett too tbf

Macie Lightfoot 08-04-2013 01:53 AM

...it was a ****ing salad.

JTM45 08-04-2013 02:06 AM

So glad Jillian wasn't swayed by Alec's threats and went with the only sensible decision for her two nominations!
Topaz is going to feel like such a massive fool when she gets out and hears what Alec has been saying about her.
For me Alec has definitely been the most repulsive houseguest in the whole season. He makes my skin crawl.:yuk:
