I'm happy for them... they've been the better team. Shame we never got to see Ronaldo at his best though.

So, in the end Ronaldo finally got his goal and Portugal win 2-1, but it wasn´t enough. Portugal is out and Germany and USA move on. Germany with 7 points and USA with 4 points and better goals difference than Portugal. Ghana missed their golden opportunity.

I was at a pub,

The atmosphere was awesome, We were screaming at both games, cheered when Portugal scored.

USA surprised me, i didn´t think they would do it, albeit that Germany´s 4-0 trashing of Portugal in their first game was the decisive point of this group.

Next one is probably against Belgium. I´m predicting an even fought game. With Howard as USA´s goalie, they might be able to advance. After that the opposition will be too great to surpass as their probable opponent is Argentina.

But still, a final 16 and a possible final 8 spot is quite an accomplishment.
