I think it's a shame these games can't run without people having a go at others for holding a different view. Maybe don't join in (or even visit discussion forums, for that matter) if that's your response to opinions differing from yours.

God, people putting a downer on what's meant to be a fun game because it hasn't gone their way is so bloody annoying.

As I said a few times during BB16, Nikki can be really cruel and nasty but is very rarely held accountable for it. Being "funny" helps you get away with a lot, it seems.

Yeah, she was on the panel the Friday Sam and Harry were evicted, and she was being quite nasty to them before Harry and Sam joined the panel.

You know it's bad when you struggle to work out what you hate about on season more, the endless nasty insults about housemates and ridiculous reaching threads which have made this place so miserable, or the dreadful taste the forum has :joker:

The reaching is definitely the worst part :joker:

I am not the first person to do this and I certainly won't be the last. You yourself have done much the same thing (even if in a joking manner, which most of the time I am doing too) on other occasions yourself. Yes it is a discussion forum, and if I think the results are going disastrously, I will express my opinion that that is the case

In fact, I would bet that had the people who were plussing Helen and Aaron managed to get Chloe, Sophie and Rachel out before them, there'd have been quite a few people in here throwing tantrums a lot worse than any of us have...it happened once before and Lucas will remember it :hehe:

Lostie! 24-07-2015 05:22 PM

Also, I fail to see how disliking Helen for being a repulsive bully is appalling or atrocious.

I don't really have a problem with people disliking Helen tbh, I don't like her after this year but I am judging her as a winner within her own series which is a totally separate entity and as far as I am concerned nothing she ever did in BB15 was bullying.

I'm talking more generally, not about Helen. In fact Helen's hatred is the thing I'm bothered about the least :joker:

You don't have to say it to someone's face for it to be nasty. She said some pretty spiteful things behind her back, then was nice to her face - therefore making her two-faced, and then spent that entire week sobbing in front of the whole house claiming Aisleyne had made her feel intimated and that she was scared of her, when Aisleyne hadn't even breathed a word to her, and when she did, it was when Aisleyne apologised to her for how she spoke to her before she went into the HND.

No, saying something horrible to someone's face and hurting their feeling sill always be worse than bitching. If that's the cast, favourites of yours like Makosi must be really nasty considering she bitched non stop.

It's not just about Aaron and Helen tho, all of these games have gone so badly and just this forums opinions this summer as a whole :umm2:

I'm not 'making out' they are at all. I believe my opinions to be true, to me they are factual. They may be an opinion objectively but everyone believes their opinion to be right or else why would they hold it? I always find it silly when people point this out to me, of course I think my damn opinion is the right one, it's my opinion

How have they, the top three series were top three in the series game and the ***** are out of the winner game :clap1:

Eh? I'll admit, I loved Helen in BB15. And whilst I've gone off her this year, she still is quite high in my BB15 rankings (admittedly, not as high as she used to be). But her treatment of Jale and Christopher was bullying, IMO. I even said the same thing, when I supported her.

Daniel. 24-07-2015 05:29 PM

Helen's treatment of Jale was bullying and I don't know how anyone can dispute that. I mean, she literally used to shout slug whilst walking past her to make her feel like ****.

I think they're both as bad as each other. But I'd rather have someone say something horrible to my face, as I will know they have said it, and I know where I stand with them. Rather than someone saying something horrible behind my back, and pretending to be my best friend, unbeknownst to me, that they are being really nasty and hurtful about me and are pretty much lying to your face.

Being two-faced isn't exactly a good quality to have. Not to mention Makosi's bitching wasn't vitriolic or spiteful in the same way Nikki's and Grace's could've been.

BB10 went out far too early, 9 lasted way too long. 13 is completely overrated, 6 and 7 should be closer. Although yes the top three are right

Sallie's going to go too early on the first boots one, the top three in the BB16 one is atrocious and nearly all of the best housemates were eliminated first (in fact the BB16 one is probably the worst of them all)

and idrc about CBB but 12 lasting so long was hilarious, especially over 10 and 14 which were much better summer series, 15 should still be in and 9 was good but overrated

There's a big difference between expressing an opinion on the result / housemates expresing an opinion on other forum members.

Which, as it happens, I don't recall doing (unless joking as you say or provoked into it in a heated debate). Of course, if I did I'll be more than happy to hold my hands up to it, as I have done many times when I've felt I've gone too far in a heated discussion.

Oh, I'll make no secret that I'd have voiced my dissatisfaction if, by some massive travesty, Rachel was eliminated before Helen. I wouldn't have launched into a rant about how the opinions on the forum are appalling and atrocious, though.

And "some massive travesty" isn't a jibe at other people here, it's a reflection on Helen and Rachel alone.

I don't agree, never did and while I thought her treatment of them was completely out of order and unacceptable, it was only on the border of bullying as far as I'm concerned. The Brian incident was bullying, none of the others.

That doesn't excuse her behaviour and she's still a questionable winner, but I don't think she bullied anyone last year. I don't want to get into an in depth discussion about something that happened that long ago though tbh

I'm not talking about forum members specifically though, I'm talking about the forums taste as a collective...I don't really see anything wrong with that. Sometimes I think it's good, sometimes I think it's atrocious. As I'm sure we all do.

No I don't think you did any other time other than as a joke (the Stephanie '**** off' gif to all of us plussing Helen earlier would be an example), but tbh most of the times I've said it over the last week or so has been in a jovial manner. I do genuinely think the results have been atrocious, and I do think this forums taste has gone significantly downhill of late, but I don't really care that much. This is just text on a screen after all, it doesn't mean anything or make it any more valid, it's only a game  Helen and Aaron won and no one can take that away from them, so I'm not really bothered

But on the other hand, it's deemed as freely acceptable to throw digs at people's taste if they support people who aren't popular on here, over the past few days I have been called all sorts and had my moral compassed judged and torn apart for liking a certain housemate (who I won't name because I cba with the backlash of it) and no-one batted an eyelid, because said housemate is unpopular, so why is it unacceptable and rude for people to just simply state their opinion on the general forum's taste?

Fair enough, I'm always up for good-humoured sparring (like that gif, which I couldn't resist ), I only ever take issue when I take it to be serious. I'm very defensive about my right to hold an opinion on the show without being insulted so when I think I am I tend to kick off. Apologies for any misunderstanding.

Speaking for myself, I didn't bat an eyelid because I didn't see it. I do actually agree with your point though, I experienced very thinly-veiled mockery when I criticised Nikki during BB16.

Everyone has the right to voice their opinion on the show without being insulted for it, regardless of who they like / dislike.

.

No worries, and I apologise if anything I say ever comes across as insulting cause I don't intend it to :p on a personal level I don't think there's anything wrong with insulting each other's tastes in reality show contestants, the only thing I don't like (as Liam pointed out) is when people try and make out that has any kind of impact on your character outside of this forum in your real life. Not only is that a pathetic notion, but it's also really rude. As if what you like to watch on an entertainment gameshow which is totally detached from reality and is a form of escapism bears any reflection on what you're like as a person. What a laughable idea.

It's not often I'm personally offended about something on here but there's been a couple of occasions where people have implied I must be some sort of amoral person when anyone who knows me and has read my posts on here over the years knows that is far from the case, and I've lost respect for (and have been surprised at) the people who have done that.

I planned to watch all the BBUK series I hadn't seen in the summers following on from BB11 before we knew it was being renewed, but now I'm putting it off until it's axed again. May as well stretch out the show for five more years after it finishes
