Sorry but as soon as the policewoman said "We've been given a description that matches you!" To Bernie it was obviously a set up by Evie. Good twist but it was obvious.

Was more surprised that Bev was being genuine.

She was believable as the sly manipulator with a real bitchy face.

But, as always with soaps, they don't like subtlety so she's a screeching caricature now so that we get the idea.
