With the public set to vote in the European Parliament elections today, the latest polls show that Nigel Farage's Brexit Party is likely to gain the most votes in the UK.
Although the vote takes place in the UK today, the results are not expected until Sunday evening due to most other EU member states casting their votes that day. The Conservatives are on course for their lowest ever share of the vote in a nationwide ballot and could even slip into fifth place behind the Greens. Establishment parties are expected to suffer across the EU, both at the hands of the populist-Right as well as resurgent liberal parties. The result is likely to be a more fragmented European Parliament, with the centre-Right EPP and centre-Left S&D forecast to lose their combined majority. (Telegraph) |

Definitely Pro Brexit: 29 Definitely AntiBrexit: 36 ??????? Who knows: 13 If you split that "question mark" group evenly (and that's being generous, the fact that 10 are Labour I think indicates that more are probably remain) Pro Brexit: 35.5 MEP's Anti Brexit: 42.5 MEP's I wonder who gets the head and who gets the legs  |
Mr Farage was the major winner as he was elected in the South East region and said: "History has been made. This is just the beginning."
He delivered a stark warning to the Tories and Labour as he claimed The Brexit Party was ready to inflict the same damage at the next general election. (most media) |

Will be interesting to see how it goes though. I have for a long tme wished there were different players to the usual tory v labour, and it seems its possible the lib dems have regained some support (I really do think, without the coalition they would have had a chance at being in on their own, they were gaining steadily until then) and this brexit party..maybe. |
He has single handidly revitalised English politics and history will be kind to him I think.
