William’s pride as Earthshot wins a BAFTA By Jess Ilse 9th May 2022 The Earthshot Prize achieved victory at Sunday evening’s BAFTA TV Awards, winning Best Live Event for its inaugural awards ceremony last October at the Royal Albert Hall. In a tweet, the Duke of Cambridge wrote: “I am so proud of the whole team behind The @EarthshotPrize London 2021 for taking home a BAFTA tonight! “It’s a joy to work with you all, and this accolade sets the bar high for inspirational, sustainable live events right around the world. We can’t wait for USA 2022! W.”. The Earthshot Prize tweeted, “Huge congratulations to everyone involved in our inaugural Awards, which celebrated some of the most extraordinary solutions to the Earth’s greatest challenges.”... ……..Dermot O’Leary, one of the hosts of the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony, thanked Prince William during the acceptance speech, calling working on the programme “the most life-affirming experience for all of us.” About William, he said, “Just a special thanks to Prince William, because it is very easy to be cynical about someone who comes from such privilege, but he approached the whole thing with this incredible empathy and enthusiasm, vitality and this really is his baby which is why Earthshot is now fourth in line to the throne.” The Earthshot Prize, a decade-long initiative founded by William to find solutions to environmental problems, is now in its second year. Five prizes are awarded annually to teams or companies working on solutions. An awards ceremony will be held in the United States this fall. :clap1::clap1::clap1: |

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend the Top Gun: Maverick premiere.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...-premiere.html Kate's flying high! Beaming Duchess of Cambridge takes Tom Cruise's hand as she walks the Top Gun: Maverick red carpet. Kate and William are just a pure class couple. :cheer2: Tom Cruise was a guest at the Jubilee Festival the other night, and he walked to Windsor from his hotel, talking to and greeting fans on the way. Very nice. In an interview he was obviously awestruck by the Queen and Royalty. Many Americans do love our Royal family and Tom is unquestionably a huge fan. :hee: |
Looks like they want a piece of the Hollywood pie just like the trailblazing Sussexes :smug:

But since they scarpered Meghan got to meet Ellen in her studio once and Harry met James Corden on a bus, isn’t that right? Cool. :joker: |
Ahhh, just remembering Kate looking stunning in her beautiful golden gown meeting Daniel Craig at the 'No Time To Die' premiere…..worth another look….

Oprah doesn't like them any more. She looked like a fool with all the lies they told her. :notimpressed: |

I have to say it was one of Oprah's worst interviews. She licked their arses so much she came across as weak and just gave them a platform to tell their lies and she didn't question a thing. ....and Kate looked amazing once again. |

Prince William Is Getting His Own Coin in Honor of His 40th Birthday Prince William will soon be seeing his face in silver. The Royal Mint announced Monday that the Duke of Cambridge is being commemorated with a special £5 coin in the U.K. in honor of his 40th birthday. The design, which was shared on Twitter, shows William in a three-quarter profile gazing up to the top right of the coin, with the number 40 to his left and his royal cipher "W" to his right. The special announcement comes just weeks ahead of William's milestone birthday on June 21. The coin also marks the first time the royal has been featured solo on a coin. He appeared alongside his wife, Kate Middleton, on a commemorative piece in celebration of their royal wedding in 2011. |

Kate and Prince William battle rain as they step up duties for frail Queen - PICTURES KATE, Duchess of Cambridge, attended the third and final garden party held at Buckingham Palace, alongside her husband, Prince William. Wed 25th May …..The three garden parties, hosted at Buckingham Palace and Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, are traditionally held by the Queen to reward exceptional acts of public service. Speaking on the Queen's absence from the parties, royal expert Angela Levin said it was a "shame" the monarch did not host the events, as she did previously, but a decision made in Her Majesty's interests. She said: "It's a good decision for the Queen not to attend garden parties as there would be too much standing….. ……………… Kate looks lovely. I love how she always looks so genuinely happy and at ease in her role. :) |

George and Charlotte make first public visit to Wales for the Platinum Jubilee The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought along some special visitors during their whirlwind visit to Cardiff on Saturday. Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined their parents to make their first public visit to Wales..... ------------------ I love how Kate and William are involving their children in all of it....and showing them off - I would be too, they are adorable and a credit to them. :hee: |
So boring for the kids, a shame they didn't take them to spend time with Lilibet on her birthday instead. I don't think she read the half arsed tweet they made for her.
