16 if you include Sharon, Honey, Ben, Louise, Janet, William, Amy, Jay, and Glenda (I don't know if a return's on the cards for her in the foreseeable).

I can't imagine we'll be seeing the likes of Courtney, Lola, or Little Mo but they'll probably be the most extended family we've had since the Branning invasion of 2012/13.

I really don't know why they brought Jack back :bored:

Mess at the Claudette spoilers

Marsh. 01-03-2016 08:20 PM

They start building work the week before the big episode. Seems a bit rushed.

I'd hazard a guess that Vincent kills his mother and hides her under the granny flat but I don't think it's possible to hide that busom of hers.

Shows how desperate he is. Three months ago he did an interview saying how he wanted to be taken seriously as a versatile actor and not typecast in a soap.

Then he realised that other producers had seen his performance in the live episode ten years ago :fan:

Drunk Phil :joker:

I hope Babe and Abi become a regular pairing after this whole Ben thing is finished.

Did anybody else notice Nancy's magic trick in the cafe?

Rob! 04-03-2016 01:22 AM

Kim :joker:

Vincent clearly has a inkling that his mum's up to something. I'm excited for Mother's Day - I just hope it's better than the flop that was Halloween.

Rob! 05-03-2016 12:51 AM

I love Claudette. She's so ridiculous. Perched for her battering Gavin with a mallet.

Ashley. 05-03-2016 06:35 AM

The guy in the café who ate half of his sandwich then complained that it was horrible is me

Cal. 07-03-2016 07:30 PM

So predictable but at least they got rid of that useless character.

EE feels really stagnant.

Redway 07-03-2016 09:10 PM

Gavin would've had a lot of potential as an even eviller version of Dirty Den but I haven't been able to get into his back-story or all that nonsense with the Hubbards the way it's involved a major rewriting of history.

He would've been just fine as far as being Sharon's real dad goes but the damage was done the minute they decided to connect him to Claudette's clan.

I think it's clear that DTC's pretty much biding his time now and I can't see anything interesting on the horizon save for Peggy's funeral and Grant's return.

Marsh. 07-03-2016 09:36 PM

It seems really strange that his "big" story with Gavin and Kathy doesn't even seem to have gone anywhere or barely started and DTC is leaving.

It's all very weird. I wonder what actually happened behind the scenes because the last 2-3 months feels like there's changes galore in the writing team. It's like every few weeks the direction/tone shifts. It's not consistent.

Firewire 07-03-2016 09:38 PM

It's a mess

The whole Nancy/Lee story is a mess as well and Phil's alcoholism keeps coming and going

The only decent storyline is the Lucas one

Redway 07-03-2016 09:47 PM

I agree that the tone changes by the episode and I'm not keen on the block storytelling or the fact that the way stories are kick-started and dropped makes it virtually impossible to invest in any of the characters involved in the first place.

I'm with Marsh on the Gavin stuff. Didn't they say he'd make Archie look like a teddy bear?
