He's in Inception. Another reason for you to go out and watch it.

The Hustler. Dark and gritty morality tale, taking place within the confines of seedy pool rooms and populated with all manner of low-lifes, losers, criminals and other lost souls aching for something more from life, but quite unaware of how to find it or basically incapable of trying.

Oh, and Paul Newman is in it. Brilliant piece of filmmaking.

P.S. I Love You.

Not a bad film, but I didn't find it remotely sad though, as I had been led to believe it was.

Kill Bill Vol.1 for the probably 50th time. I love it, I'll rewatch Vol.2 tommorow I think.

I watched Kill Bill Vol.2 today, I absolutely adore it. It perplexes me why it isn't as well liked as Vol.1.

Is it worth watching? :)

Karl told me to watch Trainspotting earlier, I downloaded it and I just finished watching now, it was a very good film but it was kinda freaky now.

17 Again. Don't ask.

Prior to that - Up. Was rather good, not top-250-imdb-good though.

The Duchess.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one, in particular the performance of Kiera Knightley, who's limited acting range actually suits the formal, staid enviroment of a period drama, with looks and stiff upper lips being more important than variables and nuances in character. Having said that, she does have a few scenes in the film that make me actually think that there's a budding actress underneath it all, and she's ably supported by a stellar cast, with Ralph Fiennes being his usual magnificent self.

Nice music, beautifully ornate costumes and set designs make this a feast for the eyes and ears, and the drama is compelling enough as it progresses. So yeah, not too shabby at all really.

Ferngully......Another harsh lesson in not watching films you loved as a kid as it'll only murder the nostalgia of it all.

bettiepage 01-08-2010 12:09 PM

one flew over the cuckoo's nest. that film is pretty sick.

Troy, with a rather buff Brad Pitt, got the girlfriend all fruity. Interesting yank take on the Iliad.

Yeah, they almost got all the names of the characters correct. I was quite amused by the way they cobbled the story together without the interplay of the Greeks Gods etc.

Was nice to see how they managed to keep Achilles alive till the end. According to the girlfriend Brad, wasnt that much buffer than me. So a score there

Lol, stop bragging! I have to smash a wall down with a sledge today and I@m outta practice. Nearly killed me doing it a few days ago. Will you do it for me He-Man?

Troy was just a mess. Total mess. Peter O'Toole couldn't sit through it all apparently.

Both hands at the end when swinging, then slide one hand up to the head when lifting, take your time and breath properly.

That info is as good as me being there.

Yeah another big budget Yank changing history, but it saved me a little work.

Nothing like I thought it was going to be. Quite a let down in the end.

Tom5 01-08-2010 07:25 PM

The Descent Part 2, not as good as the first film but still worth watching.

Josy 01-08-2010 10:10 PM

Shank - 6/10 - Thought this would have been better.

Death at a funeral - 7/10 - Some quite funny scenes.

Kerry 01-08-2010 10:46 PM

Not all of it as I've seen it so many times but just caught the last of Moulin Rouge. It breaks my heart every time so badly :(

IheartBB 02-08-2010 12:45 AM

Splice.

Pretty freaky. It didn't follow the traditional horror formula that I thought it would - which isn't a bad thing - but I still don't quite know what to make of it.
