Shaz to jump in front to save Stace?

Ashley. 15-01-2017 05:13 PM

Stacey's coat will save her. :clap2:

Rob! 15-01-2017 05:14 PM

Mind you if this is supposed to air this month, you get the feeling it was supposed to be one of those surprise moments

Well considering they haven't announced it, yes Rob it's supposed to be a surprise

Ashley. 15-01-2017 05:15 PM

"It's a miracle, Martin. Had she not been wearing that coat, she'd have been mushy peas under that bus."

Not Stacy and Jane being murdered off

reece(: 15-01-2017 05:39 PM

How was the Meech/Shaz two hander?

Firewire 15-01-2017 05:42 PM

It wasn't really a two-hander

But Shaz SCALPED, her best episode in a long time

Nothing would amount to it. This is exactly what I feared. It reminds me so much of the Peggy aftermath where everyone acted like nothing happened. In this situation, Phil was the only one grieving for Peggy while everyone else in the family didn't seem bothered by it at all. For Ronnie and Roxy's situation, Jack and Glenda are the only ones who are grieving while everyone else just couldn't give a **** about what happened. It's ridiculous really.

*Jack crying after seeing Ronnie on video*

Max - "Come on Jack, this has got to stop"

Seriously? Did Max really just say that? How does one simply get over the death of a loved one when it's barely been a few days at this point? Is Jack not allowed to grieve or deal with the situation in his own way? I thought it was incredibly stupid for Max to say something like this. He's acting like Jack has lost a trophy and not his wife, FFS! How long did it take for Max to get over Emma anyway? I'm sorry but him telling Jack to get over it was just

Vincent to Mick

Mick - "The poor guy!"

Vincent - "He needs a night out"

Again? What? They can't be serious. So Roxy and Ronnie die unexpectedly which leaves Jack as a widower and instead of paying respects or good thoughts, the best thing that they can say is that "Oh he could do with a good night out" Like getting pissed and drunk is the answer to everything. Yeah. Sure, no problem. Jack having a night out will make all his problems go away. As if he's not lost anyone and he's just going through stress from work. What a load of bull****. Vincent's reaction to Ronnie's death was incredibly poor too. "Oh they're dead? Meh. That's bad but I'm off for a run!" For someone who loved Ronnie sometime ago in the past and had an affair on Kim with her, he sure didn't seem bothered about what happened to Ronnie.

*Honey cries for one day*

A week later. She's in the vic, acting all happy and fun. In the mood for celebration which is incredibly odd.

*Louise cries for one day*

A week later. Her attention turns to a "bad boy" and all that's focused on her mind is a party that's being held by a guy that she'll probably have the hots for. "You total toenail!" Didn't take her long to forget about Ronnie and Roxy either.

*Ben cries for one day*

Goes to the vic. In the kitchen, getting drunk and having fun with Johnny. Acting like nothing has happened. Great.

Hardly much of a reaction from Billy

Stacey's reaction was also poor. The best she can do was an unhappy frown and that was it.

Yeah, I know that she wasn't super close to Ronnie and Roxy but they've been through a lot together, considering that she did kill their dad but they ended up forgiving her actions to the point where Ronnie decided to let her escape from the police back in 2010 and the best she can say is "I can't stop thinking about those poor kids".

I'm sorry but this didn't satisfy me at all. I would have expected much more of a reaction than this but Michelle ended up being her focus instead. She ended up shedding more tears for Peggy when she died. Hardly a reaction to Ronnie and Roxy's deaths which was disappointing. She doesn't care. :/

We didn't even get to see Phil or Sharon properly react oh but that doesn't matter, let's fast forward to the following week and see how they are coping with the situation. Surely it's gonna take a while for them to process the way that Ronnie and Roxy lost their lives...Hm oh wait a minute!

One week later

Sharon, Phil, Billy and Honey having drinks in the vic and being the party mood. How incredibly odd. Hasn't Phil only just started his recovery? I thought Sharon said no alcohol in the house to Michelle which implied she was dead against having Phil near alcohol but it's okay to bring Phil in the vic so soon? Oh. Okay? A farewell party is held for Michelle and some of them hardly even know her. Ronnie and Roxy haven't even been laid to rest yet and they've already been forgotten by nearly everyone. Even when Phil came back to the house with Sharon, no mention of the sisters at all. There's absolutely no way they would be in the mood to celebrate at a time like this. I really hate when SOC has done for them. This has been a huge mistake and I'm so annoyed by it. I'm no longer upset, I'm just annoyed that they had to go like this. Fair enough that he wanted to rest the characters. I had no problem with them being rested after all the things they have gone through but killing them wasn't the way to go. Roxy suffered enough. After not getting justice for what Dean did, failed relationships with Aleks etc and losing Amy. She deserved a lot better.

Having a fresh start with Ronnie in new place would have been real good for her. I don't like how they decided to make Jack act like an antagonist and come in between the sisters. I didn't buy it at all. I wanted to see Ronnie act more like a mother to Matthew. I wanted to finally see some progression after everything that happened with Carl and Andy. Asking Jack to marry her again and moving away would have been enough. I felt like after Andy left and stopped holding his grudge, I felt like there was a chance for Ronnie to finally have a bit of peace. Having them all move to the new place with the kids would have been more satisfying to me. Making it a secret that Roxy would move with them to the new place was also silly, specifically during the wedding where they acted like it was a secret about something dark. It just didn't work. There was also no way they would have held the wedding on New Year's Day considering past events that happened on that day (e.g James' death). I'm sorry but they deserved a lot better than this and I feel like it will always be one of the main mistakes that I believe SOC has done. The writing for the aftermath has been incredibly poor that it's ridiculous.

Also if Jack actually ends up moving with the kids after the funeral then what was the point of killing them off in the first place when they could have just left together? It just feels so unsatisfying and annoying to see their time end like this. As great as the acting has been with Scott and Glynnis, I'm just not satisfied with how this exit storyline has turned out. It's not enough to save this. I was desperately there would be a twist/red herring but sadly it wasn't meant to be. In the end, it just wasn't worth killing them off for a **** aftermath like this. I'm very disappointed by SOC and the fact that he thought this was a good send off for the Mitchell sisters. What an absolute waste.
Wow, what a ramble what a rant.

Biggest injustice in soap history, an appalling end to them and aftermath

Are Sonia and Cora still coming back?

Rob! 16-01-2017 05:06 PM

Cora driving the bus?

Why didn't they just wait four weeks and air it over anniversary week? I know it isn't a milestone year but they may as well have aired it then
