The sisters are really starting to settle in now. I’m a fan.

Redway 12-08-2019 07:58 PM

Anyone getting R&R vibes from them?

Redway 12-08-2019 07:59 PM

Iqra’s Ronnie of course.

Are we meant to just forgive and forget that Stuart raped Tina, assaulted Linda and killed that bloke on the bridge?

He didn’t rape her did he? I thought he just locked her in a burning car. Much more forgivable?

Marsh. 12-08-2019 08:35 PM

Amy you've said that a few times. Stuart has never had a rape storyline. He was a pedo hunter for a while maybe that's ehat you're remembering?

He clearly has mental health issues but the shooting story was so poorly written they've just decided to abandon it rather than conclude it properly. Kind of like the Cherry Slater plot.

This, I was saying the other night the actresses seem to be getting a lot better too. Nowhere near as wooden and stilted as they were at first, Rukku was brilliant in that scene on Friday where Habiba confronted Adam.

I don't think it was even that. He drove round with her in the boot and terrified her making her think she'd been kidnapped by a stranger (she didn't realise it was him until last year) as payback for a practical joke or something daft.

Rob! 12-08-2019 08:36 PM

We also don’t know for sure that Stuart killed that guy. He’s no doubt perched to suddenly turn up one day randomly.

I'm liking Iqra more and more.

Habiba I think I'll only take to when this horrible Adam plot is over.

I’m sure there was something to do with fire. I can’t rememeber tbh, I know that song was playing so maybe I’m just confusing it with that,

Liam- 12-08-2019 08:39 PM

Apparently he parked up with her in the boot and set fire to some tyres next to the car to make her think she was being burnt alive

Liam- 12-08-2019 08:40 PM

But yes, the sisters are definitely improving, it might be a slow process but it’s happening nonetheless

From torturing lesbians to saving teenage girls from addiction, an arc

Marsh. 12-08-2019 08:45 PM

Rainie and Stuart the new Pat and Frank?

Marsh. 12-08-2019 08:47 PM

Tonight proved Adam is a lousy actor.

I don’t even think it’s that, I just think now the notion of Adam being an abuser is out the window, there doesn’t seem to be all that much to his character.

Oh definitely there's nothing there character wise but the way he performed the whole thing was so stilted and wooden.

Even Habiba managed to look natural.

He stopped one step before raping her:

Did he? When was he ever gonna rape Tina?

Amy Jade 12-08-2019 09:28 PM

Either way he abused her, Linda and the way he treated Dr Legg was awful and now they seem to have decided he's a good guy.

Marsh. 12-08-2019 09:44 PM

I don't think they've decided he's good. This whole story with Rainie started with him terrorising her.

There's a good story in there of a man with severe mental health issues who goes from almost childlike niceness to sociopathic nastiness. But it's just been horribly written and when he randomly moved in with Dot was ridiculous.

He works with Rainie though.

Rob! 12-08-2019 11:53 PM

Kate Oates has absolutely transformed him and made him a real character though. I don’t think it’s necessarily meant that we have to like him but he’s become a really fascinating character now. He could still revert to evil Stuart at any moment but he’s got so many more layers to him now.
