James 29-05-2011 02:48 PM

I've moved Grimnir's post to the other thread. Not sure we need this one now.

James 29-05-2011 02:51 PM

Loads going on in that race. Especially for Monaco.

Niamh. 29-05-2011 02:52 PM

Vettel is untouchable:love:

James 29-05-2011 02:54 PM

Lewis is having a moan here.

Niamh. 29-05-2011 02:56 PM

Lewis is a very ungracious loser:nono:

Iceman 29-05-2011 03:41 PM

I reckon Hamilton deserves a penalty for the next race, disgraceful driving today....if that had been Schumi doing that he'd get one....

James 29-05-2011 03:46 PM

Is Kobayashi getting investigated for his move on Sutil. 'Cause that was the same thing.

I don't get how they are saying Button was driver of the day.

Iceman 29-05-2011 03:48 PM

Im not sure James, F1 website isnt being updated at all today??? Button was possibly gonna be driver of the day but he/the team mucked it up....

(Can I just point out Vettel only won 5 races last year.....he's ALREADY won 5 this year....)

Iceman 29-05-2011 04:00 PM

Should we merge????

Iceman 29-05-2011 05:15 PM

Lewis Hamilton has launched a blistering attack on the stewards in the wake of a penalty-hit Monaco Grand Prix.

Hamilton received two drive-through penalties relating to separate incidents with Ferrari's Felipe Massa and Pastor Maldonado in his Williams.

The first penalty, for causing a collision with Massa as he made an attempt to pass on the inside at Loews Hairpin, saw the McLaren ace relegated two places from seventh to ninth.

The second, as Maldonado manoeuvred around the outside of the 25-year-old at the first corner Ste Devote and resulted in the rookie crashing into a barrier, was served retrospectively after the race.

Twenty seconds were added to Hamilton's elapsed time, although it made no difference to his finishing position of sixth.

Hamilton was fuming immediately after the race, and made a stance as he said: "It's an absolute frickin' joke.

"I've been to see the stewards five times out of six this season."

Asked to why he felt the stewards were picking on him, Hamilton retorted: "Maybe it's because I'm black."

Hamilton then added, as if to make light of his previous remark: "That's what Ali G says."

Hamilton was referring to the fictional television character made famous by Sasha Baron Cohen.

Motor sport's world governing body, the FIA, could determine Hamilton has brought the sport into disrepute with his remarks.

Hamilton, though, was unrepentant, adding: "Massa held me up in qualifying, I got the penalty.

"Then he turned into me [during the race], I got the penalty. These drivers are ridiculous. It's stupid."

"People want to see racing, but you get done trying to put on a show, trying to make a move.

"Fair play, if I feel I've gone too late I'd hold my hand up to admit I've caused an incident. But it's not the case.

"I'll just try to keep my mouth shut and try to enjoy the rest of the season.

"It's character-testing, whether it's right or wrong. I'm going to go chill [now], do some jet-skiiing, and try to stay out of trouble."

I always knew he was an ***hole

James 29-05-2011 05:16 PM

Nah, don't bother. This topic goes back to 2008 whereas the other topic is for 2011.

Iceman 29-05-2011 05:18 PM

Cool I might unsticky this though, what you think?

Niamh. 29-05-2011 05:18 PM

Oh I hate him so much

Iceman 29-05-2011 05:19 PM

He's gone right down in my view, I was really warming to him, I thought he had matured loads but it seems not

Yeah, was going to do that.

Niamh. 29-05-2011 05:21 PM

When things don't go his way he acts like an idiot

King Gizzard 29-05-2011 05:21 PM

Thats true but the strategy paid off.... Saftey Car is almost guaranteed in Monaco.... Fair play to him though, bound to be champion this year again.

If it wasn't for the crash he would probably have came 3rd, his tryes wouldn't have lasted for another 6 laps + Alonso and Button were right up his arse, don't agree that you should be able to change Tyres when their is a red flag either... awful rule. Saying that though iv'e been impressed with Red bull and Vettel in previous races this year.. this one though they came out lucky.

Yeah Id say that rule will be gone by the time they hit Canada....they tend not to change rules until they come into question....like today!
