Let me put it this way, as an Arsenal fan I'm very happy TH is staying but as someone who respects Man UTd I feel they're going nowhere with him. A lucky managers luck runs outs eventually.,

Edin Terzic leaving Borussia Dortmund

rumour has it that his assistent Nuri Sahin will be his replacement

--------
and the portuguese Paulo Fonseca is the new coach of AC Milan, he replaces Stefano Pioli and signed a contract for 3 years, Fonseca comes over from Ligue 1 side Lille

The point is to keep a manager long enough for them to settle down Arteta was given the same opportunity after a dire couple of seasons. Should the club have sacked him too?

I read a stat the other day, that out of the 96 teams that make up the top 5 euro leagues, yernited finished 95th in chances conceded.

As outlined in a few posts the United manager is never too far away from a crisis and thus far I havent seen anything to suggest that the players are with him.

Arteta got rid of Ozil and Aubameyang and the latter in particular was a watershed moment for him. The players got behind him and went from strength to strength. I cant see that with United. TH has got rid of Ronaldo, Greenwood Sancho etc but I cant see Mason Mount, Rashford etc suddenly takin games by the scruff of the neck.

Eight place finish, negative goal difference, bombed out of Europe bottom of your group, most shots conceded in the league, I'd concentrate on this stuff and not the trophy you won. Is it all gonna suddenly improve under the same manager. Please don't tell me you think it will.

The players are not responding the way Arsenal players responded to Arteta. Van Der Beek is the best example of all. How is this player who was on the Ballon D'OR shortlist under TH at Ajax is now not good enough.

we will see next season. My bet now would be that united will finish above chelsea who took the option to sack poch at the first opportunity

GiRTh 13-06-2024 07:18 PM

Chelsea are different. We visibly saw the team improve over the season. United, on the other hand, looked as bad in May as they did in October.

Also, Chelsea have a strong young squad. Can't say that of United. They've got a number of players who need replacing anyway cuz they're all a bit long in the tooth.

tip of the iceberg .......

Nicky91 14-06-2024 07:44 AM

i doubt Man City will ever get punished though, money talks you know

so they also really can't punish Palace or Wolves, otherwise the FA are exposed of being quite hypocritical and showing favouritism

one major investment group who i think are good guys, are the saudi's at newcastle, they aren't making them into a Man City 2.0 or PSG 2.0 which is a good thing, just giving them plenty of financial resources for the entire team + youth development etc

What is it with footballers these days..

Courtois has fallen out with everyone and is in a strop simply because he felt that he should have been captain in a recent match !?!?

There’s another footballer also at the euros behaving very oddly as well but his name escapes me for now ..

Yes Zizu, she's boring, and clueless. But that tweet was 2 years ago. Has no relevance now.
