A bit of me still has a feeling we might of been his second choice. I'm not sure he'd of joined us, and hurt Arsenal fans, had Antonio Conte not been involved in match fixing. I thought he was going to go to Juve personally, also.

Think United was his no.1 choice really, because they had the best chance of going up/he'd probably been guarenteed he'd be the main man whereas at City he wouldn't have

Main man, hmm, debateable at that time. Rooney had a fantastic season and was close to him on goals. I guess, definitely main man alongside Rooney at least. No chance of him being on the bench for some games.
