Excl +1 I think.

Around 950k incl I would predict. Standard rating for Saturday I guess.

Meanwhile, the hyped and expensive Tumble on BBC1, only started with 3.16m :joker: I really was expecting 5m+ for certain.

Kai Anders 10-08-2014 01:18 PM

4th in it's slot.

Ouch. That'll no doubt drop then will it? I haven't heard great things about it.

It's amazing to think a show like that, on BBC One can attract the same viewing figures as last years Celebrity Big Brother live launch.. the only downside is the change of viewing percentage. 20.7% for Tumble and 14% for CBB!

So when you look at it, even the BBCs top entertainment shows of the game show variety are par with CBB.. and after 15 years.. it's surprising the negative reaction it gets for low viewing figures.. C5 really do have a mini-goldmine!

Same its for this reason I think Viacom will renew them both BBC or ITV are not finding any new hits at all lately

TV on the whole is getting a lot worse.. so many repeats.. not enough money.. reliance on american imports, its a surprise any of the big 5 still make money!

OK, so here are the +1 ratings for the weekend.

Friday didn't do as well as we thought, it was 1.267m with only 33k on +1 (don't trust that site that gives us UK ratings and +1 Dan, they are wrong!):

Friday- 1.30m incl +1
Saturday- 1.00m incl +1
Sunday- 1.31m incl +1 for last night

Well, it's consistent... Where did it come last night? :)

I'm not sure actually, 4th I'm guessing.

*mazedsalv** 11-08-2014 09:40 AM

Sorry, timeshifted last night got 1.33m incl +1 according to the DS report.

Kai Anders 11-08-2014 11:22 AM

BBC ONE - The Village - 4.62m (20.7%)
BBC TWO - James May's Cars Of The People - 2.43m (10.9%)
ITV - The Great War - 1.68m (7.5%) / +1 153K (1.0%)
CHANNEL 4 - Child Genius - 1.50m (6.8%) / +1 221K (1.3%)
CHANNEL 5 - Big Brother - 1.16m (5.2%) / + 1 163K (1.0%)

5th in it's slot.. still a fair rating for this series despite coming last in the Big 5.

ITV are absolutely bombing out!

Good night for the BBC!

daniel-lewis-1985 11-08-2014 11:41 AM

Will be interesting to see what the officials are I think this week really will show how the series average will finally be seeing as its been consistent with 1.2 for the last 2 weeks.

*mazedsalv** 11-08-2014 12:38 PM

Monday- 1.51m excl +1
Tuesday- 1.57m incl +1
Wednesday- 1.57m excl +1
Thursday- 1.76m incl +1
Friday- 1.31m excl +1
Saturday- 1.02m excl +1
Sunday- 1.47m incl +1

Annoying that for +1 are missing for the week, but will get the figures soon as I just asked a DS member.

Such a shame, Friday-Sunday ruined the weeks momentum. Monday-Thurs (when we find out the +1 figures), will all be between 1.57m-1.76m, which is higher than the average of 1.58m we have at the moment.

So I predict with +1 for the Monday, Weds, Friday and Sat in order... 1.60m, 1.65m, 1.40m and 1.10m.

Those officials are pretty lousy :(

*mazedsalv** 11-08-2014 05:09 PM

Monday- 1.61m incl +1
Tuesday- 1.57m incl +1
Wednesday- 1.68m incl +1
Thursday- 1.76m incl +1
Friday- 1.39m incl +1
Saturday- 1.14m incl +1
Sunday- 1.47m incl +1

Bit better I guess though the Friday and Saturday ones
I don't get why evictions have been rating so low this year. Especially with the Thursdays normally doing really well.

daniel-lewis-1985 11-08-2014 07:29 PM

God Fridays really aren't doing very well are they.

The final is on a Friday aswell :/ EEK! Atleast its not split into 2 parts but its going to struggle to even hit 1.7 imo.

The officials are just meh.

daniel-lewis-1985 12-08-2014 10:57 AM

Last night attracted 1.32 including +1

Massive +1 figure of 163k around 100k up on its usual +1 rating.

This is why BB should always be on at 9pm.

I watched on +1, though it was at 10PM and as I tuned into Channel 5 it was on, so I realised it was on at 9.

I think the 1 hour gap between shows contributes to the +1 a fair bit.
I cant be arsed with the gap inbetween and i really didnt want to watch a 70 stone guy kill himself so i just watched something else at 9pm then watched on +1 so i could watch bots straight after it.
I reckon that might be the reason for any boost in +1 figures.

But how do the shares fair that way?

The shares have come in lower (5.2% at 9pm 163k/1.0% at 10pm) due to more people watching tv at 9pm but then Channel 5 obviously want the viewers from the looks of it.

Why have they moved a Monday show to 9pm and why is the 1st week of CBB pretty much all scheduled at 9pm aswell?
