They thought Sophie would get to know someone else but she said she's holding out for Connor and she begged Nas to pick her. It wouldn't have been fair if Nas was in that situation and felt pressured to pick Sophie over Demi because Sophie likes him as a friend and Demi is there to find love.

Because the point of going in is to find someone, Sophie says she has but has now denied Leanne the opportunity of finding someone, we all know she has no interest in Connor really, she just wants to raise her profile, if she turned around and said she had no interest in Connor I might have some respect
