Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas has announced that he will be leaving the soap at the end of his current contract.
The actor films his final scenes for the Channel 4 show in October after a year back on screen in the role of Warren Fox. Speaking of the news, Lomas told New magazine that he is bowing out of his own accord because he wants to pursue other projects. "Last time I left, the recession hit and there wasn't much being made," the 31-year-old explained. "It's starting to pick up and I wanted to give it another crack of the whip. I want something completely different to Warren to show people I'm versatile." Asked whether Hollyoaks bosses will leave the door open for his villainous character, he replied: "I would like to think they would. I'll have to wait and see." However, Lomas ruled out a permanent move to the US to find acting work, insisting that his children and fiancée Kym Marsh come first. "I've got my kids here. Moving out there permanently is out of the question," he said. "Yeah, I'd love to go out and do a pilot season because it's always been a dream of mine. Kym has been nothing but 100% behind me. That's the way a partnership is. "In terms of people saying she's going to lose me to Hollywood, that's nonsense. We've just bought a house, we've got a baby." Lomas's original stint on Hollyoaks ran from 2006 until 2009, when Warren appeared to be killed off in a fire at his nightclub The Loft. However, show producers lured Lomas back late last year, devising a shock storyline which saw Warren return to the village to wreak havoc. Warren's recent plotlines have seen him embark on a relationship with glamour girl Mitzeee and clash with business partner Brendan Brady. Read the full story in this week's New magazine - out today. Not surprised, it was announced when he first returned anyway. |

Clare should be back for Warren's departure, kill him off for good this time by making sure he's actually dead and then get away with it. She should then settle back into the village:devil:.
|
Really wish the time had come for Silas to be rumbled though.

Hollyoaks star Andrew Moss has revealed that there is fresh turmoil ahead for Rhys and Jacqui when Gilly Roach returns to the village later this year.
Gilly (Anthony Quinlan) has been absent from screens since April, when he decided to spend some time away from home to clear his head after being found not guilty of raping Jacqui. Since then, Jacqui has tried to recover from her ordeal and embarked on a long journey to get her relationship with Rhys back on track. However, their progress could be thrown into jeopardy when Gilly makes his comeback. Speaking of Gilly's return, Moss told Inside Soap: "Rhys and Jacqui's lives are going to be turned upside down again. Jacqui handles the whole thing really well. She's calm, because she doesn't want to show Rhys how she really feels about it. "But Rhys flies off the handle - he wants to smash Gilly's head in." Back in May, Claire Cooper - who plays Jacqui - told Digital Spy that show bosses were planning a resolution to her story with Gilly. She said at the time: "It's an ongoing story and it is going to be concluded… Some people believe Jacqui and some people don't, but the story progresses and the conclusion to the story will happen later in the year." |
Jamie Lomas has admitted that he is unsure whether Hollyoaks chiefs will kill off his character Warren Fox.
The 31-year-old recently announced that he will leave the show for a second time at the end of his current contract, and has now delivered a message to fans of the Channel 4 soap. "I suppose most of you have heard the news that I'm going for a second time," he said in a video posted on the Hollyoaks website. "I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for all their kind messages, all the support. "I've had such a fantastic time playing Warren. I'm not sure if they're going to leave the door open for me to come back - possibly, who knows? "I've just had a fantastic time playing him. I hope you've all enjoyed watching him and I hope you're all going to continue to support the show after he's gone." Lomas denied yesterday that he had decided to quit Hollyoaks in order to move to Hollywood, instead naming fiancée Kym Marsh and their 4-month old daughter Polly as his top priority. Lomas joined Hollyoaks in 2006 and seemingly left the programme for good when Warren was caught in a fire at The Loft nightclub in 2009. However, he was persuaded to return to Hollyoaks late last year and his character was revealed to have made it out of the blaze alive. |
Will be good to see Gilly back, although I doubt the audience will like him much now. All they will remember is how angry he was all the time after Steph, and then the rape thing. And it's pretty much just concentrated on Jaqui since
|
I'm looking forward to Gillys return actually, i'm gutted that Warren is leaving though.

Lots of filler before the Later stuff but will be a mini break from the Brendan/Ste and Silas/Lynsey stuff for a bit.

Hollyoaks star Karen Hassan has revealed how show favourite Brendan Brady first becomes involved in the ongoing serial killer storyline.
Last week, Emmett Scanlan - who plays Brendan - spoke of how his bad boy character could go "toe-to-toe" with sinister Silas Blissett in forthcoming episodes. At the weekend, meanwhile, Digital Spy confirmed that Brendan starts to see Silas in a new light just as Hassan's character Lynsey Nolan leaves the village for some time out following the grandfather's attempts to terrorise her. Speaking of the twist, Hassan told All About Soap: "Brendan is very territorial. When Lynsey is leaving, he sees Silas loitering in an alleyway watching her and he starts to think there's something odd about him." However, the actress added that Brendan will not see the full extent of Silas's (Jeff Rawle) dark side for the time being. "Although Brendan does think Silas is weird, he's not convinced he's a murderer," Hassan explained. "So it's up to Lynsey to fight her own battles until… Well, who knows what's going to happen? But I've just got the scripts and they're very exciting! It gets even worse before it gets better." Lynsey has recently been embroiled in a metaphorical game of chess with Silas as she is the only person in the village who suspects he is the killer. |
Hollyoaks appealed to 1.15m yesterday(6.4%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before E4's first look at the next episode mustered 417k (2.2%) from 7pm and 132k (0.6%) on +1.

BBFAN im not great with ratings are they good for HO
Also is it true the chick who plays Tracy Beaker is coming into HO |

No, the actress just said she would want a part in the show if she had to choose a soap to go on. |
The spoliers sounds ok I guess, at least there isn't much of Ethan and Liberty.
Do we know how long Lynsey is actually gone? :( |
Right cheers BBfan

I never even remember Bart and Jason being THAT in love when they were going out. All seems a bit silly that they'd fall for eachother again, plus it's been months and months.
|
i really don't care for this whole Bart/Sinead/Jason storyline, i nearly wish that man would just shoot them
|
Yeah they're all starting to annoy me now really :joker:
|
I hope that storyline is over soon:D. They need to redeem Sinead again once Jason and Bart get together and have her away from them.
I'm worried that Sarah Jayne Dunn might leave once her contract is up:(, they've hardly given her much screentime/storylines and sometimes she's ended up being support at the spa. She'll be on screen quite a bit in the recent spoilers though! |
i hope she dont leave :/
but shes only been back since like late April |
Jason and Bart get back together? D:

Noo not Carmel:nono:. Oh and take Will off because Silas doesn't kill men from what we've seen:joker:.
|
Take Carmel & Theresa off and he wont kill men, so im perfectly happy with Rae (deadwood) & Liberty (**** actress) being killed
|
I would like it if they brought in Brendan and Cheryl's mom and dad to see how they would react to him being gay and learn what has made Brendan into the person he is now.
I would also have Cheryl hiding a secret, which her mom and dad knows too... |
So they only have the same dad right?
