Whoops

I just received my promo copy of Smith & Mighty's "Three Stripe Collection" today that I managed to swipe off e-bay for 99p. It's not released until 14th May so I was really pleased with it.

Think the last one I bought before that was "Nail" by Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel (digipak) as I no longer have my vinyl copy.

Lol. I just had a look on HMV. I got "The Best Of" a couple of years ago for £2.99 and it's £10 now? I really like VU and there's been so many covers...You should have a listen when you get chance Nathan.

HMV are ridiculously inconsistent with their prices... I got 'Ladyhawke' once for £2 and now it's part of the 2 for £10 deal :suspect:

hmv is a mess..but that's what happens when you have no high street rivals

I do fall for their sales though... at Christmas I bought Pink Friday and I can only think my reasoning was "IT'S ONLY FIVE POUNDS"

HMV is not what it used to be. I used to go there and to Virgin (many years ago) to buy music that you couldn't get anywhere else. Imports, limited editions, and basically a lot of independent label stuff. Now it's just the same as everywhere else only normally dearer. As Shaun says their prices are totally inconsistent, although I do love instore sales but they don't seem to happen that much any more. The choice of music in store keeps getting smaller and smaller too.

Downloaded loads these last 2 weeks. Most recent are Prince's greatest hits and Maxwell's discography.
