Told you Glee would have almost zero impact

You can tell anyway that the rating and share don't match up. 3.0m and 21% means 14m watching TV at that time, which is too small. There's at least 16m usually. Various proper sources have now reported the share as 15.5% for C4 edition, so it certainly wasn't 21% overall :).

Maybe it had 15.5% on C4 and it got 5.5% on +1?

According to DS, CBB had 2.9m on C4: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s57/g...-premiere.html

That means about 100,000 watched on +1. I'm pretty sure 100,000 doesn't equate to 5.5% as that would mean 1.8m total people watching TV at that time. +1's shares must be around 1-2% usually.

Sorry if I sounded rude tmx, but as much as I want CBB to do well, some of the shares that have been posted recently look too high! :o

3m is great!!!

Its getting 3m+ for every show so far!

I'm guessing the 5% would be the share of people watching the digital channels not of the total people watching TV

Jords 12-01-2010 04:31 PM

Its going good so far!

Another error for last night, it turned out to be 3.1m according to IBB. Not a massive difference like the last mistake, but still slightly better than we were told

Ahh thanks... great :D

I'm surprised the ratings have been so consistent. Can't wait for next week though. If CBB is actually good, then it should do well next week with 3m+. I doubt it will ;).

Yeah but even if it goes to 2.9m you'll probably be calling it a massive failure

2.9m is bad. Forget about BB10, that was a massive disaster. CBB6 (the previous least watched series ever) had 3.3m on average per night. 2.9m would be a poor rating for CBB7 in these arctic conditions.

If you're going to make comparisons like that then at least use overnight v overnight rather than overnight v official. A 2.9m figure would make a 0.1m difference, its hardly a disaster. And I wouldn't say its arctic conditions anymore either, most of the snow is either clearing up or ready to.

CBB6's overnight average was 3m. The officials pushed it to 3.3m.
So far we have an OVERNIGHT of 3.5m... if the series was to finish now, we would have a 3.8m average officially.

I did take the overnight v overnight situation into account.

BB usually timeshifts 0.3m to make the official rating. So a 3m overnight rating would mean roughly 3.3m official rating = same as CBB6. So, that's why I think 3m overnight would be ok as it'd be on par with last year. 2.9m would not timeshift enough to reach 3.3m.

Anyway, I'm being too lenient on BB. It should be getting closer to 4m anyway with it being the last series and poor weather.

THe snow might be clearing up, but the weather is still much worse than what any previous CBB ahs seen and loads more people than normal are watching TV (3m more at some points). So CBB needs to be doing better!

What did CBB5 average?

4.7m officially.
Without the 3/4 days of the race row... the average would be around 4.2m. The 4 days really made a huge difference to the average as Jade's interview got 8.8m.

President 13-01-2010 09:48 AM

3.3m apparently.

Brilliant rating! :D

Tom 13-01-2010 10:04 AM

It looks like people are following it around the schedules and the amount watching it on +1 instead of giving it a miss is promising. I'm not expecting a meltdown anymore. I think at the very lowest tonight will get 2.8m.

Tom 13-01-2010 11:39 AM

By the way, its getting the 9pm slot for some of its final week

*mazedsalv** 13-01-2010 12:09 PM

3.3m is great!! Judging by that rating, Fridays eviction show should get 3.6m+.

And Tom, thats great. 9pm is a great slot for BB, its the right time. If there is strong competition then people can watch on +1.

Tonight we can maybe the see the first non Saturday sub 3m show. Its on at 8pm!! and strong competition. I reckon probably 2.7m.

Slumdog Millionaire in my opinion will defenitley be the top C4 show, its been promoted to the death! I reckon 5m+.

biglover 13-01-2010 04:45 PM

3.3 million is a very good BB rating these days and is extremely good for C4 in any programme

Why are you still here when you clearly have no interest in the show, and certainly have no respect for the views of others?

Nobody minds criticism, but you're not constructive in anyway and don't seem to want to see improvement - you just want to dampen any small glimpses of positivity that are coming from the series.

We all know the show isn't the beast it once was and much has been done to damage it in recent years, and we all know the improvements this series are too little, too late - but none of us can fathom out the reason you still post here day in, day out if you hate the show (and it's fans) so much!

He's a troll. But I'm still to decide if its someone who is trying to be someone else, or someone with a brilliant sense of humour.

Last night got 2.8m without +1 so looks like yet another show over 3m and Channel 4's attempt at a sabotage isn't working
