Just watched Edwin Van Der Sar's testimonial, his dream team made of up current and past players he played with and against won 2-1 against Ajax at the Amstrerdam Stadum.
Great man, class goalkeeper and will go down one of the best all time in his position!:) He's going to be a big miss:(. |
Michael Carrick picked up a little knock and had to go off, hope it isn't serious.

SAF tells journalist Bob Cass of the Mail on Sunday to ''**** off'':joker::D. He claims that United have told rumoured target Wesley Sneijder that he has a week to accept a deal, that's if any of it is true. This reporter claimed to have big United connections before... |

:worship: I like Schemichel but prefer VDS over him if I had to compare them.. |
The ginger ninja aka Paul Scholes' testimonial today, will be emotional seeing his last match but Scholesy is a United legend!
No celeb bull****, remained loyal to the club, quiet and shy plus never got into trouble. Poor tackler on the pitch, dodgy bookings wise but had unbelievable talent and skill as a player. Class act, quality midfielder, in fact as many players say the best of his generation:). |
PAUL SCHOLES, SCORES GOALS:devil::):D:hugesmile::cool::thumbs:.
|
Scholesy scored one trademark long range shot goal before hanging up his boots for good, absolute legend for United:).

Glad you had fun Boothy, so jealous you got to experience it and thanks for the pictures:):D.

we need to buy a right back
don't like if we play centre backs at right back because its bad for balance of team so lets offer Inter about 45 million for Sneijder and Maicon  maybe even offer a squad player in the deal too |
We did it! Won the Community Shield from 2-0 down against Manchester City:devil::D.
Nani MOTM;). Overall a great team performance and young players like David De Gea, Phil Jones, Danny Welbeck, Chris Smalling, Anderson and Tom Cleverley are looking promising for the future:). So glad to have beaten them and excited for the new season but it will be tough! |

Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley in the England squad joining the usual suspects from United Rio and Rooney (Carrick pulled out due to injury), well done to them:).
|
While I rate Cleverly highly, don't think he should get an England call up after a friendly and a season struggling with Wigan even if he had a decent season there IMO

Glad that Fabio is giving some more younger talent time to shine, shame he hasn't called up Albrighton yet:(. |
A teenage Carlisle United soccer prodigy is today set to make a dream move to Premier League champions Manchester United.
The News & Star can reveal that the Old Trafford giants have struck a deal with Carlisle United to sign 14-year-old goalkeeper Dean Henderson. The Whitehaven-based youngster has been with the Blues’ centre of excellence set-up and is regarded as a star of the future by coaches. His impressive performances with the Blues’ age-group teams attracted the attention of a host of top clubs, with Chelsea and Newcastle among Henderson’s admirers. But Manchester United, who yesterday beat rivals Manchester City 3-2 to win the Community Shield at Wembley, are understood to have agreed a compensation package with Carlisle on Friday. Henderson, who is also being monitored by England youth coaches, is now expected to sign for Sir Alex Ferguson’s club this week. The St Benedict’s School youngster, who was identified by Carlisle’s football in the community coaches at a soccer school in Whitehaven, will now join one of the most famous youth set-ups in world football The Manchester United academy, which has produced a stream of Premier League and international stars, is headed by former Red Devils striker Brian McClair. |

Pissed off that some journalists/fans are writing off David De Gea already after yesterday, of course filling VDS boots was always going to be tough but he's only 20 and it was a risk signing him but of course he is going to make mistakes due to his age but he can only learn from them and improve:bored:.
The United defence was to blame too for both goals, he may struggle with communication due to his lack of English but he's apparently learning so the communication will come in time. |
Gabriel Obertan moves to Newcastle from United, £3.25 m on a five year contract.

Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder has said he would like to join Manchester United and that "unofficial talks" have taken place with the league champions.
The 27-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer and recently said he could be sold at the "right amount". Asked if he was keen to move, Sneijder told www.nos.nl: "Yes, but United haven't made an official approach yet. Hope we get him  come on fergie sign him up!!! |
Nani joy at best game ever:).
Manchester United winger Nani believes his man-of-the-match performance in Sunday's Community Shield win over City was his best ever. The Portugal international capped off a fine team move to make it 2-2 in the 58th minute before racing clear to claim a stoppage-time winner. That went some way to avenging United's FA Cup semi-final defeat by City last season, although the Red Devils' derby rivals are hoping to challenge for the Premier League title this season. But speaking after he came off the bench in his country's 5-0 win over Luxembourg on Wednesday, Nani explained he is eager to help steer United to a successful title defence. "I think [the Community Shield] was fantastic because it is always a big derby," he told RTPN. "We were losing 2-0 but we came back to get the result. Memorable "We played an excellent game and I scored two goals. I'll always remember that second half. "I came out of there very happy and I think that was my best game ever because it was a final and because it gave us a trophy. "I am working to be the best Nani for the team this season and Sir Alex Ferguson congratulated me after the match. "I always give my best, I'm fine and I want to stay that way until the end of the season." Nani has been linked with a move to Italy all summer, with the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus reported to be interested. But the 24-year-old insists he is not looking to leave Old Trafford, saying the fact he is settled at United is enabling him to fulfil his potential. "I am very well there," he said. "I think it's the best club in the world and want to stay there and work well. "It's good to know that big clubs are interested in me but, right now, I'm very satisfied with my club and I want to continue with them." |
LOL Manchester United have been named by gay men as having the sexiest side in the Premier League:laugh2:.
