I've not actually listened to a lot of her stuff.

Well her stuff really changed over the years. She went from folk to introspective songwriter and then into jazz and funk, with more of sociopolitical feel to her lyrics, while always maintaining that clarity of vision and purpose. Very intelligent and artistic woman.



This is probably a good example of her introspective and soul searching period. Magic. Not really easy listening though!

I could literally post dozens of her songs right now. Just a class act.

Was just pondering this whils having a fag and I can't believe I haven't mentioned Dave Gilmour.. Definitely up there with the best male voices!
