I read the first one when it came out and I hated it. I have absolutely no respect for JK Rowling as a writer, I find her style very weak and simplistic. Granted she has done exceptionally well from it, but does not mean her writing is good, it's just been glorified.

and Glenn is right, she definately improved as a writer, I was rereading the first book about a week ago, and i couldn't get over how much it read as if it was directed towards 8 year olds

Oh hell no! Something I despise slightly more than HP is 'Romantic Vampire' books. Vampires are scary creatures, full of evil and horror; not a modern day drivel of love, beauty and pointless Hollywood glamour. :bored:
