I'm looking forward to hearing new stuff

Z 01-01-2014 11:23 PM

I've been waiting since October 2011. I've lived in 3 different cities, 2 different countries, 6 different addresses and I've only gotten 3 studio songs out of them; 1 single and 2 non-album tracks. HURRY THE **** UP.

Black Dagger 01-01-2014 11:25 PM

Where do we think the album will chart when it does actually drop? I'll go #62 </3

No idea. I actually think the album will do quite well because even when the Sugababes were at their height, they still had flop singles but their albums sold consistently well. It's hard to estimate but I think they're hoping to be a live touring album selling act rather than a singles one because Radio 1 won't play them so doing well on the singles chart is more or less out of the question.

Black Dagger 01-01-2014 11:36 PM

Yeah, I hope the album sells well, most of my fave artists don't have singles success but have had album success, I'd be happy with top 20 really, just hope the music is good, some of the last Sugababes stuff did nothing for me at all.. but that was Amelle and Heidi :yuk: I have faith in MKS <3.

The very first Sugababes album reached #26... but it has a Gold certification and I think their fanbase will still be larger now than it was back then because of the success that Mutya and Keisha went on to have with the Sugababes. Even Sweet 7 managed to go to #14, despite the entire album leaking months before it was released and droves of Sugababes fans deserting the band over Keisha being axed... The rest of their albums were top 10 hits. #2, #3 and #1 with Mutya & Keisha; #1 and #8 with just Keisha.

I reckon a top 20 album is a reasonable expectation to have - even if Radio 1 turned their back on them; they've worked with a lot of cool people, they've been getting universal praise from critics and seem to have a lot of good will towards them in the industry, so I think their album will manage to reach a lot of people despite the radio blacklisting.

I thought their comeback would be big but their singles which have been amazing have just flopped.

They should have stolen back the Sugababes name especially since they split.

this sounds good http://i.imgur.com/pQRwCEV.gif they better release something soon

Z 03-01-2014 04:07 PM

We were promised the new single and the album early 2014 so I'm hoping we'll get a premiere some time in the next fortnight but this lot say things that never happen all the time so who knows... :(

Natalie. 03-01-2014 05:00 PM

Ijust want to hear more of their stuff now :(

Z 03-01-2014 05:15 PM

This time last year we got a 3 second clip of the studio version of Boys... since then we've had one single and nothing else. :(

HD 03-01-2014 05:23 PM

I've given up on them, not worth me being a fan.

Z 03-01-2014 05:25 PM

I've lost all the excitement I once had because it's taken so long but I'm sure it'll come back when we get the next single and the album. Seeing them live on tour was amazing, best live gig I've ever been to.

reece(: 03-01-2014 05:32 PM

They need to forget about the floppage and just give us some new material. Demos at very least.

Z 03-01-2014 05:39 PM

It's really frustrating knowing that the album has been finished and ready to go for months now yet for whatever reason their label aren't supporting them and are holding them back. :/

Are MKS the original Sugababes heading for another split after Mutya Keisha Siobhan email row?

Speculation of strife in Suga-land mounted earlier this week when Keisha Buchanan sent a highly public tweet to Mutya casting doubts on the trio's future

After becoming more known for their backbiting and revolving door policy on membership, the original trio - expunged from the official line-up - decided to reform and it was all supposed to be different this time around.

The original three - the imaginatively-titled Mutya Keisha Siobhan - got back together, released a single and went on a sold-out tour across the UK but it seems that all is not well in the land of Suga.

With their debut single Flatline er - flatlining in the charts, managing to peak at just number 50 - rumours had been swirling that the band's much-anticipated comeback was a dud and that they were due to be dropped by their record label.

That was swiftly denied but now new speculation of trouble has swept social networks following a suspect tweet that Keisha Buchanan sent to bandmate Mutya Buena.

"@MutyaBuena Hello???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clearly I have to start tweeting you," the Round Round singer wrote in a highly public fashion.

Then on one of Mutya's Instagram photos, bandmate Keisha wrote: "EMAILS!!!!!!!!!! Work???????????????? @mutyabuena hello ????"

Meanwhile third member Siobhan is enjoying a lovely holiday, apparently blissfully unaware of all the drama.

Hmmm. What could this mean? Could the band that splits up more than a reality show fauxmance be in trouble?

Well - don't panic because it seems not. Keisha later deleted her tweet and comments to Real Girl singer Mutya and wrote: "Guys chill lol all is wonderful with me & my sisters woohsahhhh not that deep".

Mutya added her own explanation, writing: "Nothing's goin on dnt worry no red Alerts everyone's on holiday at the moment ..... I'm chillin with family fones on silent"

The group's publicist also denied there was an issue, saying in a statement to 3am online: "There’s nothing going on here. The band will be releasing their second single and their album later this year."
welp

This has been a trainwreck :l
when is the next single coming out jfc

Also is it just me who likes Heidi? shes pretty much been there since the beginning :x

Z 18-01-2014 12:12 PM

Mutya's lazy and Keisha's a workaholic, she's just a bit misunderstood I think, she gets portrayed as a bitch for no reason IMO. Wish we had some news.

I like Heidi but I couldn't imagine her in this group, it's really weird but it feels like a different band with Siobhan in it, she brings a different vibe to the group and the overall sound of the group is different with her. Heidi made them a pop group. With Siobhan, they're sort of a combination of R'n'B, indie and pop which isn't something they could really pull off with Heidi there.
