Anyway, that figure would've been knocked down by Lavish period.

"BBC Two's lavish new period drama Parade's End made an impressive start on Friday night, early overnight data suggests.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the five-part series kicked off with 3.13m (14.1%) on BBC Two in the 9pm hour, topping the slot for half an hour between 9pm and 9.30pm.

Haha I agree, what a tool. No way is the rating poor, it guaranteed coming in 3rd slot.

Even 2 million would have been low for CBB. I was expecting atleast 2.3 as the ratings have been climbing.

Dont call me an idiot, you're the one comparing the BB viewerwship to Period Drama watchers lol

But it clashed with the show I posted and weren't you the one who went around on this thread claiming how glad you were that the show made it above 2 million viewers?

BB IS ALIVE 25-08-2012 06:13 PM

It probably dropped Below 2 million because it was a pretty drawn out eviction, it wasn't the most entertaining of highlight shows either. 1.86 million isn't bad it will do better in the officials, much better.

You got that infraction yet?

I don't think BB viewers were switching over to a period drama somehow.

Meh. It said here: "Lavish period series has an impressive 3.1m, knocking Celeb Big Brother to 1.8m."

Whether that's true or not is open for discussion but it's a suggestion.

Older viewers of BB might have (not all 2 million or so viewers are teens).

1.45m for last night. On par with last weeks Saturday rating, before anyone says "Omg, that's rubbish!" No it isn't for a Saturday. Tonight will be around 2m+ again hopefully. I still need to catch up on last night.

So far the overnight average stands at 2.3m. Around 2.6m officials that would be (and that would be on par to CBB9).

Jake. 26-08-2012 10:19 AM

Yeah, I expected it. It should grow again!

*mazedsalv** 26-08-2012 10:22 AM

Red Or Black only grabbed 3.52m and 3.88m incl +1 against CBB. Bad for such an expensive show.

Me. I Am Salman 26-08-2012 10:40 AM

Oh god Red or Black is such a flop

Jarrod 26-08-2012 10:44 AM

Red or Black failed last year too.

jackc1806 26-08-2012 10:50 AM

Does anyone know what that house party got in ratings?

Well it started with 6-7m and then settled to around 4m. But this series it started lower, so it could be at around 3m by the end of this series run.

Yet it still gets over 2 million more viewers than BB.

No. Apart from the launch and final, it got over 3 million once.
