Some people are like that though Kizzy to be fair, I for instance cannot sleep past 6.30 am, I wake up no matter what sleep I have had but I do usually need at least 6 hours solid sleep.

I cannot stay in bed once awake and I have since being about 13 woke at 6.30 am, I don't even need an alarm clock.
I couldn't go back to sleep then.

MTVN 19-01-2014 10:04 AM

I am the same, I never fail to wake up at 10.30 am no matter what

Just because entertainers are shown to be gregarious or funny as a public persona, doesn't naturally follow they will be like that in private or 24/7 does it?

I'd have done exactly the same as Jim with regards to making a noise in the morning. I used to live in a flat and the couple upstairs were inconsiderate arseholes and they'd think nothing of coming home at 3am with a gang if party people, playing their music really loud and dancing on their extensive wooden floors in their stilettos! It have me great pleasure to get up with my little un at 7am and let her run and shout as much as she wanted.. I'd also fling in Guns n Roses greatest hits for good measure.
I'm not a vengeful person but I'm afraid when it comes to losing sleep because of other people's selfishness, they deserve a bit of their own medicine.

:joker:Good one MTVN. except when ill I don't think I have ever been in bed at 10.30am.

I love that post.:joker:

..I think they're often more chosen for their 'controversial' personal lives and opinions though unless they are reality TV celebrities where their entertainment and personal lives merge...BB try to 'clash' people who they don't think will get on and that tends to be the more extreme of personality...sometimes it works and sometimes surprising friendships are formed...

Agree. I would have done the same in his situation, he was a bit half hearted anyway he should have got up and started screaming.:joker:

He was a bit half hearted about it Kizzy, and yeah I wake up at 6.30 even on a Saturday due to the alarm going off at that time Monday to Friday so I think you body clock adjusts or something

Conversely there might be a few night owls in there who can't switch off as easy and sleep?
When thrown together you have to make compromises.

Ammi 19-01-2014 10:13 AM

..it is true about the sleeping patterns and of course it's difficult to cope without enough sleep but then none of us would choose to go into the BB house though would we and if we had taken a big fee for doing so, then to some extend then we've been 'paid' for our lack of sleep and that's the difference ...to me it's more that older people can't really win in that situation because there's been criticism also of other older housemates being 'down with the kids' and 'inappropriate'...to that extent there wouldn't have been a 'right' thing for Jim to do...

AnnieK 19-01-2014 10:19 AM

The compromise would surely be that the bedroom is left for those who want to sleep and anyone wanting to party stays in the main room

He wasn't half hearted he was being selfish, some people disturbed him so he chose to disturb everybody.
So what if that is jims natural waking up time?... he might have brekkers at 8 and move his bowels at 9 too, but this is BB and you have to allow for your routine to be altered.

Exactly.. I don't know how anyone can justify disagreeing with this.

Kizzy 19-01-2014 10:32 AM

Nobody has disagreed with that lee

..I think to some extent that is what happens though, it's just that after a lively night and so many people, it doesn't really work that people just then stay silent in the bedroom following on from that because it does become an extension of their evening..that's what I've found from numerous 'lively' sleepovers with my own children and I mean when they were grown ups because it only takes one or two people who are less tired for it all to start up again as we see every time in BB...

Ammi 19-01-2014 10:37 AM

..and also tbf, if BB wanted it all to stay in the living areas then they would put some sort of pull out beds in there for the revellers or allow them to sleep on the sofas but they want all of the annoyances it all causes as well...

So he is selfish for trying to make noise, but those making noise at night are fun loving. The lights came on Kizzy he woke up?

Good point Kizzy.

According to Jim it's only Luisa who's loud yet he disturbs everyone because of that.

Yes, for disturbing everyone as I said, the lights are on at night too most times when he's attempting to sleep?
Nobody else was asleep or suggesting they wanted to sleep apart from jim that night were they?

Yes they have.. Not in this thread maybe and I can't remember who but I've seen the "it's big brother, the bedroom is going to be noisy" argument countless times.
I've seen BBs where eventually they do make this compromise, but it's just not happening this year for some reason.

He didn't suggest they stopped, it was Dappy suggested it for him and he went back in when the lights were off?

Lionel did complain about the noise and the screaming.

How dare you suggest something fair like Annie

It is the most sensible solution though that the house has plenty of rooms to stay awake in and the bedroom should be left for sleeping after a certain time and was brought up before but people that dislike Jim disagreed with that.

Only people who dislike jim suggested that the bedroom shouldn't just be used for sleeping?

flamingGalah! 19-01-2014 11:08 AM

Yes what an awful person Jim is for wanting to get some sleep, no doubt he really wanted to punch every woman making a noise square in the face & start spouting racist & homphobic jokes, he was this close to doing it & clearly wanted to... Nasty man :joker:
