Just because you explained it doesn't mean we agree with your explanation, insulting fans of HMs isn't ok if you add "lol" at the end

You are ruining this thread that was in fact a decent discussion btw before you selfishly wanted to bring up your own infraction from 3 months ago.

How is it selfish being on topic about the infraction system needing some improvement, and the people complaining about this have had harsh infractions why else would this thread have been created otherwise?

Don't just attack me for it just because you don't like me challenging an infraction that it seems like you're so personally offended by being challenged.

MOCK GO AND MAKE YOUR OWN THREAD ABOUT YOUR INFRACTION GET OUT OF THIS ONE gOD

Well i think the best thing to do is to increase the ban time, people aren't too bothered about being banned if it's only for a day, increase it to a week/two/ 30 days and they'll definitely tone it down

If you have a set system people will learn to follow the rules, If someones had a few infractions recently and they're not entirely sure how many points they are away from a ban, sometimes you can just get wound up enough and snap at members, leading to a higher point infraction and thus to a ban, which they wouldn't necessarily have got if they'd have known how many points they were going to get

(am i making sense i honestly just feel like I'm rambling :joker::joker: SEE THIS IS WHAT I MEANT IN THE LOUNGE LAST NIGHT WHEN I SAID I WAS ARTICULATE ENOUGH TO PUT MY POINT ACROSS)

But surely that's a bit sneaky. Allowing people to calculate how much they can get away with.

Liam- 01-04-2015 08:40 PM

You know those straight bans you were talking about earlier?.. :hehe:

Amy Jade 01-04-2015 08:40 PM

I tend to always agree with my infractions, I think I debated one and that was it. I deserved the rest probably, I was on my period the last time I got them so I just dpend less time here when I'm on.

LukeB 01-04-2015 08:40 PM

I agree with Smithy, Ban's should be longer than a day.

because 1 day is like getting a detention at school... that doesn't stop people from getting another or change their behaviour.

People won't cause half as much drama if they know they'll be banned soon

Marsh. 01-04-2015 08:40 PM

Can I just point out the irony if Mock gets an infraction for this infraction rant. :)

If you put it in a context that was meant to be humourous I honestly would've laughed.

My suggestion for a system a while back when this was discussed in admin was this (obviously it only works for things people do regularly...)

Say spamming. Once would get a warning, second time would be a straight ban. Third a longer ban, and so on. Slate gets wiped clean if it doesnt happen for a few months.

Same goes for insults, and all other regular rulebreaks

I think that was deemed unworkable though.

Amy Jade 01-04-2015 08:41 PM

Just after I submitted that I realized how tmi it is oh well

There'd be like 4 members posting if that was the case

Also I say that as a Perez fan, if that matters..as it appears it does

1. Yes it was
2. No I didn't because it was a joke, only this Forum could try and fight over a joke resulting in an infraction, people got overly sensitive, and reported it, which in my original point is where the infraction system goes horribly wrong.

Yes, I do understood what you're saying, longer bans may be something to think about but I mean you can see by this thread alone what we're dealing with  People are never going to be happy no matter what we do.

Mock, why do you get to decide if people are being 'overly sensitive'?
