Won't slag off the Martial price. He may prove to be a bargain and its not like City don't overspend.

Brother Leon 01-09-2015 04:34 PM

Monaco will receive € 50 million guarantee. This will be paid in the amount of € 30 million up front, followed by four payments of € 5 million each year in July.

The additional unsecured expenses, totaling another € 30 million. These include € 5 million each time Martial is the top scorer in the Premier League, to a maximum of € 15 million. Another € 5 million will be due if Martial wins Golden Boy. The final € 10m will be paid if Martial won the Balon D'or career in Manchester.
---

Let's hope all the rival fans saying "LOL paying £65m
" end up being right then  Pretty funny and weird that United fans' worst case scenario if if it stayed at 35m pounds pretty much lol

That tweet there will have just ruined his career

Very frustrating.

You ended up the only team from Europe's top five leagues not to sign a single outfield player.

Tbf though, how many top strikers were available? Cavani and Lacazette maybe? I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.

MTVN 01-09-2015 06:06 PM

Spurs only got themselves to blame really, Levy thinks he's some transfer window wizard when really he just puts every deal at risk with stupid antics

They could of got Austin he may not be a star name but he can certainly score goals

CHarlie Austin. Maybe not ideal for us but he has a proven goal scoring record.

We need more options upfront.

It'll be interesting to see how he comes back from that now.

Levy tries to rip teams off when selling, and then tries to buy players cheap. Which is the best way, but the latter won't often come off nowadays given the money lower teams have now. Huge double standards. :joker:

I doubt Arsenal fans would of been pleased by that.

Having more options doesn't necessarily mean they'll be good quality, though.

A lot of Arsenal fans wanted a big name, but no big names have moved really. Even Real didn't sign a Galactico. I'm a heavy critic of Wenger, but I don't think he could of won either way in the striker scenario. No big names available isn't his fault and if he goes and signs Charlie Austin rival fans would laugh and some Arsenal fans would go berserk.

Edit: I may be wrong. A quick glance at Twitter seems like most Arsenal fans just wanted somebody. Some even suggested Austin.

To hell with Arsenal fans. I once suggested we should sign Benteke and was laughed at by my mates who questioned whether he was 'mobile enough to play for Arsenal'. I then laughed at that comment. . many arsenal fans are snobs. They seem to like this team of diddymen/munchkins who are easy to knock off the ball. I dont, I'm old school I'm old enough to be a fan during the long ball days and 'one nil to the Arsenal'.

There are many ways to play football. We can only play it one way and we aint all that good playing like that.

Options is what we need in those games where we struggle to score. I dont think Austin would have scored 20 goals a season but he might have been a good option in those games where Wengers goes clueless

A lot of United fans were snobbish when we were linked to Benteke. Yet here we are relying on a past it Rooney. I'd of taken him at United.

Benteke would be a great option for us. Maybe 32 mil is high but he's looking pretty good so far for Liverpool

Crimson Dynamo 01-09-2015 07:50 PM

Arsenal think Giroud is sufficient

how much more of Wenger can they take?

as for Spurs

sorry but what a mess

Denver 01-09-2015 07:54 PM

Apparently Spurs were only willing to offer West Brom £5 million up front

That's not true, say Sport Witness (one of the best sources on Twitter).

Real can get ****ed. Make no bid until the last day and then cry that they had no time to complete it by blaming us. *****.

Berbatov to PAOK. He'll absolutely destroy the Greek league.... if he can be arsed

The best part was when the Spanish expert on Sky Sports News said De Gea had his girlfriends stylist get him a flashy suit for the RM unveiling........that should be on Ebay soon.
De Gea is as whipped as Beckham was. SAF would never have put up with this.
Now we are stuck with a player who clearly does not want to be at the club.

Miss seeing him in the Premier League, and how he'd celebrate a brace like he'd won a corner.

Like the guy in your avatar?

De Gea seems professional and he'll want to go to the Euros, so has to do well.

I have no doubt DDG will play well should he play. He's playing for Euro 2016 after all. It's so frustrating.... I mean, can't he see that Real aren't really that fussed about him. Wake the **** up man :(.

Anyway....window is closed. In a ideal world we would have signed another more experienced attacker with Pace along side Martial, but another part of me is a tiny bit excited by what Memphis and Martial can become. It's just a shame that there is going to be to be ridiculous pressure on them to perform right away when they are young players in a new league.

I think they're fussed. They just didn't want to pay about £30 million when he'll be a free next summer and he only wants to join them, so no other team will rival Real for his signature. Fans weren't keen on buying him either. I'd imagine due to the price.

get it done!!

Tarryn 11-09-2015 11:24 AM

David De Gea has just signed a new four year contract with Manchester United, with an option to extend for a further year

Shaun 11-09-2015 02:34 PM

well done i guess

wouldn't really want him after all of the drama though, have to question how much he wants to be there

Brother Leon 11-09-2015 02:58 PM
