Great news guys we've signed Takuma Asano. Who the *** is this. He's scored 21 in 83 in the J league

Thats it I reckon. There will be no more till our early heavy defeat in August and then maybe the manger will stop p*ssing about in the transfer market. :bored:

We were linked with him for weeks and then suddenly I click on 'Arsenal transfers' and find he's gone to Man u. How are Man U attracting players from us when they're not even in Europe? Then I came to the conclusion that our manager is ******ing about in the transfer window again.

Personally I dont think we needed him as we have a ton of players in that position and Jon Toral to come into the squad and it will be interesting to see if our manager plays Toral at all. He went on loan to Birmingham ,last seasons was their players player of the year, supporters player of the year and scored their goal of the year. IF he's dong that at Championship level then surely he deserves a decent run in the Premiership but as always if our manager doesnt see it like that who knows whats gonna happen.

Japanese legend Takuma Asano, what a signing

Drew. 03-07-2016 12:09 PM

Juan Mata potentially on his way to Everton for around £21m.. amazing signing if that goes ahead, Mata deserves better though

GiRTh 03-07-2016 04:08 PM

Chelsea sign Michy Batshuayi for £33m from Marseille on a five-year contract

Good signing. Shame a few other clubs werent in for him.

I think Jose is the reason at the moment we are getting players in without CL football. But I would wait to judge Wenger until after the Euros as I think the transfer window will really go crazy then.
City will be the biggest spenders by far.

I'm gutted that Mata could go. I think he is a good quality player. But Jose never really wanted him at Chelsea either.

I don't think Pogba is coming back to Utd.
He wants to go to Real Madrid.
I think it's way too much money to pay for him anyway.

Denver 07-07-2016 01:07 PM

Surprising deal

Denver 07-07-2016 01:19 PM

Well we know who is doing the best buisness this summer

Denver 07-07-2016 01:19 PM

Plus they want £14m for Allen

I don't really care about the price. The money would just be used on a cheaper alternative as I only see the one more signing. It is spend the money on Pogba or leave it for the Glazers. I know which I would prefer.

Brother Leon 10-07-2016 02:02 PM

It's happening..

Shaun 10-07-2016 02:04 PM

doesn't seem Costa is going anywhere any time soon so I assume Batshuayi is their only striker signing? Hope Morata is ours for the taking (but he probably won't)

GiRTh 17-07-2016 02:10 PM

Kante signs for no Champions league Chelsea. How is it that these clubs just get it done while we dither about, Vardy was a perfect example.

http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest...nte-signs.html

Only a month till the seasons starts so looks like we aint getting anyone before then.

Saw this comment under a you tube vid made me LOL

Quote:

Mourinho - Signs Mkhitaryan & Ibrahimovic
Guardiola - Signs Gundogan & Nolito
Conte - Signs BatshuayI & Kanté
Wenger - I nearly signed all of them

Tbf to Wenger i'd still take Xhaka over all those signings in that list. Kante & Mkhitaryan are the only ones that i'm jealous off. We needed Xhaka as much as a we need a new striker, will judge Arsene when the windows shut.

Agree we needed Xhaka more than a striker but we were comfortably lowest scorers in the top four last year, scoring as many goals at home as relegated Newcastle. We need a stiker soon; so disappointed we didnt make a better bid for Batshuayi, he's exactly the type of striker we need.

Wenger is already behind the other managers inthe window; he needs three or four signing to redeem himself IMO and I cant see him signing one more never mind three or four.

I've kinda learnt to accept Arsenes transfer policy, i don't always agree with it from a fans point of view but i can understand the way he goes about it.

There's too many unproven and risky players being priced or transferred these days from clubs who slap huge price tags on them. Those Ighalo and Deeney fee's are good examples. If you stick around and wait for some of the bigger clubs to make a big signing that makes way for someone to leave, Ozil and Alexis in this case for fee's that look like bargains atm. It's a clever move when it's pulled off but the frustrating part is that you're waiting around for something that might not happen and because it's worked before i think he see's that as his only way to sign high profile players now, he won't spend big on a player who isn't up for sale.

I accept this is our transfer policy but I dont like it. I dont think it takes the club anywhere. I think we need a re-thiink in many areas particularly our transfer policy. The Vardy fiasco told me as much. Would Vardy have turned down Sir Alex Ferguson? Van Persie didnt; he couldnt wait so I doubt Vardy would have turned down SAF. We have to ask ourselfs why cant we attract players and address it properly. Stop this messing about that I see us do in every transfer window.,

Whilst it may seem like Vardy turned us down and other fans will make jokes about "Vardy turning you down" it's deeper than that. He wasn't guaranteed a starting role which was the main factor but he's at a club where he's claimed legendary status if he see's out his career there which is nearing the end. He's not looking to leave a struggling club to achieve more somewhere else either, he's got no reason whatsoever to leave. It's not Arsenes fault though, i think it's a bit harsh on him to say Vardy wouldn't have turned down Fergie when Arsene is part of the reason Ozil and Alexis joined. We could attract nearly any player we wanted but if they don't want to leave due to loyalty then theres not much more to it really

This may be true but an up and coming England striker should not be turning us down so emphatically. Now he see's the other stars are leaving I wonder if he thinks he made the right choice.

There wont be another signing over 30 mill for the rest of the transfer window IMO. Wenger has never signed more than one player for that amount in his career and he wont start now.
