Yay!!!

Cece stayed and Paul went....it seemed like to much to hope for ...and yet it happened in Survivor!!

Michaela in the preview :joker:

I really am enjoying the Adam/ Zeke duo along with the Cece/ David/ Ken trio! Also like Michaela and Hannah - I think there are a lot of likeable people this season

Braden 06-10-2016 09:08 AM

That was a nice blindside, and another pretty good episode to be honest. Paul is fine as a person, but he was also one of my least favourites so I'm glad he was voted off in true Survivor-fashion. The ladies atually being worried about an all-male alliance for once, despite the fact it didn't exist. Thank you Paul for putting your foot in your mouth :p
CeCe on the balance beam gave me Monica and the ropes realness, and Jeff's analogy at tribal was ridiculous. I hardly know anyone who uses 'u' as oppose to 'you' in real life. That was quite tragic.

I didn't rate Hannah much last week, but I thought it was quite amusing that she was just talking at Adam and Zeke when they told her 100x that they didn't want to hear it :joker: There's not much else to say about the Millennials at this stage. I'm liking Michaela even more after this episode.

Let's face it, Lucy orchestrated that vote, and she's going on a warpath next week. Her change in character had me like:

A good episode, Paul going was good but I would have said the same thing about cece. I don't really care for both of them. Jeff speaking about the text thing was cringe and stupid. Hannah  I was kind of hoping the Millennials lost but they wouldn't do the smart thing and vote out figgy or Taylor but then I'm glad they won.

Same, the boot order is going well so far too, nobody I really like has gone yet. :clap1:

Zeke is so overrated. He's okay but just Adam in general.

Same, I'm not bothered about CeCe but she is kinda necessary for Ken/David to keep surviving so I'm glad she stayed. Paul/Chris/Bret alliance were a little dull (I like Chris though).

Definitely the best episode yet, and I'm also enjoying this season a lot more now. Lucy going from having three episodes in which the only thing she says is "shh" to becoming a malevolent dictator in the fourth :joker: Ken interrupting Jeff's godawful txt spk speech by talking about how we can't lose the beauty of language :joker: What an angel. (see also: "the last thing you want to be referred to is a plastic Barbie with no penis")

:joker: Truly amazing Ken moments, I'm glad he's kinda opposing the general 'pretty boy' stereotypes

No doubt, and nothing on the showmance this episode helped that, it meant we could focus on some others. Really hope that showmance gets toppled.

I was surprised at Paul going but didn't mind if it opens things up. Cece could be living on borrowed time though.

I like Ken and all...but is he though?

He went on an awful lot about how his talent and drive are under appreciated ....and why is Paul getting top dog status for going nothing...

He seemed a bit me centric this episode...look at me getting it done...when I say I am going to do something...I do....etc

Because it's true regarding the tribes. Paul also probably gets a bit more 'respect' for being the oldest one of the cast but realistically he hasn't done anything. Ken proved his word when he went and caught that fish but Paul came back with nothing. Everything he said was spot on.

But he isn't exactly opposing the stereotype of the pretty jock by constantly looking for recognition for being perfect...and pouting when he doesn't get it

Braden 06-10-2016 02:55 PM

I agree, Mokka.

I like Ken but I'm not seeing this awkward outcast that everyone has seemed to fallen in love with. He's only an outcast by circumstance. He's still coming across as the 'golden boy' in my opinion. Not that he's any less likable because of that, by the way.

I don't think he is looking for recognition - he is simply pointing out that Paul hasn't lived up to this status he seems to think he's at as the alpha male. Pretty guys can be useful as well as pretty. :hee:

Yep...that's all I am saying.. I still like the dude... but he isn't humble nor self sacrificing in the least...not that you should be in Survivor....but a little humility can go a long way

Macie Lightfoot 06-10-2016 03:40 PM

I can't wait for Adam to get the **** out of there TBH. He does that whole Kelley Wentworthless thing where he screams cue cards Allison Grodner mailed over to Fiji and he's just entirely on the wrong show. He is literally using BBUS jargon like showmance and straight shooter, and I generally watch fall Survivor to wash the taste of BBUS out of my mouth, not remind me of its existence.

Spoiler:

thankfully he goes soon

and I thought this episode was just ok. Last week was a lot more enjoyable for me.

Jack_ 06-10-2016 03:43 PM

bai Paul

Jeff's analogy was cringey as ****, I thought he was going to (rightly) point out that it's actually the 'gen xers') who still use text speak while the majority of young people don't, at least that's my experience these days  that being said, the fact it evolved into a discussion of the bastardisation of the English language and the merits of vinyl is hilarious to me <3

Okay I clicked Troy's spoiler tag expecting a not-spoiler rather than an actual spoiler, and that's my fault from weeks of using the Australian Survivor thread

Funnily enough, I had to click an extra button to view one of the above posts
