I thought this too tbh

I'll watch it back later but it definitely looked like she deliberately gave up just before the wall

Really biased coverage of some of the swimmers. Should the presenters be allowed to voice such strong opinions?:joker:

I don't see why not tbh, they're pundits which are there to air their views. It's like when people complain about Emma or Rylan giving their opinions, I don't see the problem - in fact I enjoy hearing what they think

Jack_ 09-08-2016 02:13 AM

Standout race that from London tbh

Shaun 09-08-2016 02:14 AM

I am debuting a new avatar here I hope it goes with Jayne

I don't like the way they do this in Athletics tho like we never see any field action and the only time we do is if a GB athletes does a big throw/jump but like you already know they're gonna clear it because they wouldn't be showing it otherwise. And we spend like 1000x minutes interviewing GB athletes who crashed out in the heats rather than showing field action etc.

I'm actually dreading Friday when the Athletics starts because I know the coverage is gonna be awful as usual, and there's no Eurosport to switch over to this time

Macie Lightfoot 09-08-2016 02:17 AM

oh good now Chad le Clos is the latest villain how dare he stand in front of Michael Phelps

Novo 09-08-2016 02:17 AM

Talking about Reality TV, anyone remember Camille Moffat who won Gold in 2012? And then she surprisingly weirdly died in a Helicopter reality TV show crash

Novo 09-08-2016 02:17 AM

Just trying to brighten up the mood

Black Dagger 09-08-2016 02:19 AM

There was a boxer that cried when he lost in London that died in a car crash too after reality tv.

Ross. 09-08-2016 02:19 AM

Mark playing with fire mentioning Becky's bronze there

Black Dagger 09-08-2016 02:20 AM

Oh wait I got confused. He was the helicopter as well.

They definitely provided a stadium feed on the red button for London if you wanted to watch it uninterrupted and I expect and hope they'd be doing the same here. The swimming is on one of the red button streams right now for example despite also being covered with pundits on BBC1

I understand how it could be annoying but the option's there and I enjoy the studio time tbh, the reason they do it also is to give casual viewers more insight into sports they may not watch regularly/know inside out

I did however mean I don't mind pundits or commentators or indeed presenters being biased, not how much they're shown :p

Macie Lightfoot 09-08-2016 02:24 AM

what is this red button phenomenon

Jack_ 09-08-2016 02:24 AM

Chad eyeing Phelps up :joker:

Basically you press the red button on your remote and you get access to extra streams, sometimes showing sport, sometimes festivals

It's basically a way of broadcasting more that they don't have time for on the main channel without needing to create an extra a channel itself
