I'm hoping for that - although my best bet is on one of the paramedics as it's been a while since we've had 3 (4 if you count Jan).

Tbh there isn't really anyone in Casulaty that I'd be happy with dying at the moment apart from Jacob

Morgan. 24-07-2018 11:23 AM

Also the stunt is a
Spoiler:

motorway explosion

Nothing will ever be as emotional as the death of Jeff

I'm still not over it. Although as much as I miss the Dixie, Ian and Jeff para team - Ian and Sam are great together and Ruby is growing on me.

Denver 01-08-2018 12:26 PM

Shaheen Jafagholi has joined casualty as a nurse which means one of the nurses is leaving

Ant. 01-08-2018 12:35 PM

My money's on Sam being blown up :bawling:

I have a feeling Sam will be replacing the doctor who goes with them and dies

Denver 05-08-2018 05:52 AM

The new trailer points towards

Denver 05-08-2018 06:04 AM

We all know they won't kill
Spoiler:

Alicia

Shook @ yesterday's ep

Amy Jade 05-08-2018 08:12 AM

The actress who plays Alicia has been brilliant throughout this storyline. She's underplayed it to perfection.

Eddie is kinda cute though I'm a bit gutted he's turned out to be a bad character.

Vanessa 05-08-2018 12:15 PM

Last night stunt. Wow, it was amazing! Can't wait for next week!

Morgan. 05-08-2018 01:00 PM

Alicia </3

Ant. 05-08-2018 03:22 PM

if there's a death my money's definitely on
Spoiler:

Sam

Like her interactions and story has been... underplayed but such is life I guess

I don't see them killing Ian off, not with Lily not around and not coming back for a while (if at all? She went away for a year but there's no telling if she'd actually return to Holby)

As Adam said, Ruby's definitely off the table. Who's gonna care?

My reasons for the death being Sam are.. sorta a stretch lol. Like, her death is gonna affect Jacob, Blake, Ian and even Ruby (since Sam became softer towards Ruby and more of her friend.) You COULD argue that Dylan's gonna be affected (maybe that's why they haven't bothered with more Dylan and Sam scenes? Because they want Dylan to feel sadness/regret over not talking things out more? idk like with the focus on his face in front of the explosion I can't help but think it'll be Sam. Obviously his reaction is jsut shock because there was an explosion right in front of him but I doubt they'd have
that scene included if say, Ruby died because Ruby and Dylan have spoken like, once. idk how to put my thoughts into words but basically, I doubt they'd show us Dylan's reaction to the explosion in particular if it wasn't someone he was close to dying

also there seems to be a heavy emphasis on Sam breaking the rules, doing as she wishes, and her pride (In a recent ep she looked at her medal? She certainly has more of a focus on her army work and bravery than Ian does). Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I worry this means she's gonna be reckless and go ahead with a really life-threatening decision and die :worry:

Ant. 05-08-2018 03:33 PM

In other news, Chelsea Halfpenny :clap1:

she's nailed this storyline. She was superb in every scene she had. From the little moments we see of her deeply affected by what happened to her to her superb acting last night :flutter: The confrontation between Alicia and Eddie felt so great, even if the way it concluded was AWFUL (poor Alicia :bawling: but Eddie getting sent down for what he did to Alicia that night was probably the only way he'd get his comeuppance (he deserves worse but still) since I highly doubt he would've been convicted of rape :worry: :bawling:). Alicia's panic and distress and crying all felt so real  Alicia's solidifed herself as one of my favourites

I think I blinked and missed a bit, why did the ambulance crash? It looked (to me) like Ruby opening the cupboard made the whole thing tip over, which is obviously ridiculous.
I heard Ian say "no!" right before, so unless he was saying "no, don't open that cupboard, we'll crash", I'm guessing he saw something?

OR am I being an actual 'tard, and part of the cliffhanger was about what happened?

Morgan. 05-08-2018 10:44 PM

No it seems from the trailer that Ian wasn't paying attention to the road and drove into something. I think he shouted 'no' because he saw the impending crash and didn't want Ruby (or Alicia) to be any more hurt by being stood and reaching into the cupboards above Alicia.

Morgan. 05-08-2018 10:45 PM

Did I see in the teaser as well that Sam said they hadn't gotten Alicia out :worry:

Not necessarily
Sam said "you know we've still got one more person to get out?" but like, it's pretty obvious that they're referring to Alicia D:

You've prompted me to check out the trailer again. At around 0:23 we see Ian with a covered body (alicia? :fc:) and a blonde paramedic (I'm leaning towards Sam, but WHERE'S RUBY?!?!?!) running away from what seems to be the start of the explosion (I'm certain there's only one since the explosion seems to come from the truck which is by the fuel tanker and we see an explosion behind the fuel tanker milliseconds before the massive explosion)

Former EastEnders star Ellen Thomas will be appearing in Casualty as Jacob's mum Omo Masters.

The actress, best known to soap fans for playing Claudette Thomas, has joined the Casualty cast in a semi-regular role.

Omo's first scenes will air in September, but fans will have to stay tuned to find out what brings her to Holby – and what it will mean for Jacob.

Prior to this, Ellen played Vincent Hubbard's mum Claudette from 2015 to 2016, where she was involved in several dramatic plots – including causing Fatboy Chubb's death and the historical murder of her husband.

Or just guestimating, they might try to avert expectations by having it be Eddie, who tries to help because he feels guilty?
