Celebrity Big Brother: 1.62m (7.0%) excl +1

*mazedsalv** 16-01-2017 09:34 AM

Well at least its 250k up on last week. I recall last week it being a low (bar Saturday) as it faced Sherlock and got 1.37m excl, so at least it's up considerably.

It will be around 1.8m incl +1, but i really think that tonight may get closer to 2m than any other.

Some large time shifts there, between 500k-600k. With current ratings being slightly higher at around 1.8m, we should be seeing more 2.30m+ ratings.

Not really. Well not great for a winter series, but we knew that when it launched half a million lower than CBB17 and around 1m lower than other Winter series. As long as it doesn't fall under last summers 2.1m.

supertv247 16-01-2017 01:01 PM

The consolidated figures aren't bad at all, adding over half a million. As a whole though, the current series average is the lowest ever for a January series by half a million. It's above CBB16 by 400k and 18 by 200k though and I don't think it'll drop to that, it should only be on the up from now.

CBB9 was a Jan series and averaged 2.6m so it's down 330k at the moment but the gap will close.

It's also up on 10 and 14 and level with 12.

*mazedsalv** 16-01-2017 02:05 PM

CBB8- 2.8M
CBB9- 2.6m
CBB10- 2.2m
CBB11- 2.8m
CBB12- 2.3m
CBB13- 3.1m
CBB14- 2.1m
CBB15- 3.1m
CBB16- 1.9M
CBB17- 2.8m
CBB18- 2.1m

It's beating 10, 14, 16 and 18. And equal with 12.

Cal. 16-01-2017 03:25 PM

Oh so it's held up well. I'm sure Austin's eviction/Chloe's arrival/Jasmine's eviction will have boosted the second week officials too to get it above CBB12 and closer to CBB9.

The official launch rating is shockingly bad for a January series, civilian c5 launches have gotten more than that and is the first ever Jan Launch to get under 3m and only last year were they all at least 3.6

100%

The series performance across the series is not the problem, the launch was. The series has held on to like 80% of the launch audience, when series usually hold ~60% of launch.

Op I meant for the first week of each series. That's mostly cause of the really low launch figure though and it'll definitely close up now

I wonder why was it so bad?? I mean it was on the 3rd of January, which historically is the best date to have a launch ratings wise, was it just the line up leaked cuz like CBB hasn't gotten that down hill?

I can't remember if I've said it in this thread or not but I remember saying it somewhere. I think it was a combination of-

-The All Stars concept putting people off.
-Bear winning last series put a lot of people off.
-The line-up getting leaked and full of relatively unknown people.
-The lack of Pricey/Hopkins/Perez/Tiffany which it seemed a lot of viewers were looking forward to.
-All of the All Stars being from summer series' which are lesser watched or from series' from years ago. Jasmine was the only celebrity from a recent winter series and even she was the second evicted that year and not one of the most memorable.

Celebrity Big Brother: 1.55m (7.1%) excl +1

supertv247 17-01-2017 09:18 AM

1.8 including +1 last night. No idea why it's not going up. By this week last year the week average was 2.3m and the following 2 weeks were 2.45 million after growing from 2.1m in week 1. This year has barely gone up 100k on last week.. And they've thrown everything at it

Mrmattybeck 17-01-2017 09:19 AM

Very strange to see cbb January under 2m so much

Yeah... In the last 3 January series (CBB 13, 15, 17) of over 100+ episodes, a grand total of 7 have rated below 2 million. And one of them was an 8pm episode on a Monday....the rest were Fridays & Saturdays last year, and 1 Saturday during CBB13.

RichardG 17-01-2017 10:59 AM

it's a shame bc the last few days have been good but it had to decline eventually, no show can last forever
