I wouldn't say that, I think it's highs are higher than MH but the first few episodes are pretty bad while MH is consistently good throughout.

The only disappointing thing about Asylum other than the first few episodes is the alien storyline.

I don't know what it is about smoking either but I haven't seen Lange do many scenes at all without a cigarette. Even in Feud.

Some eps of Hotel i'd put about Coven too

Hotels problem was that the episodes were too long and that none of the (main) characters were particularly likeable, the ones that were, (Liz & Ms Evers) didn't appear often enough
