Take a close look again at that thread, focus on the word 'hounded'.

There isn't a hope in hell LT left the forum because of you Kizzy :joker: so don't worry.

In response to your post about PMing you and James if there are any issues, I've done it before, James didn't even respond, though in fairness you always reply, nothing changes though so it's a bit pointless.

I wasn't calling you sly Cherie, I called one of your comments a sly dig at us which it was.

I only disagreed with one of my infractions.. I asked for clarification, it was given to me, and apperently it was read by many in a different tone than I intended it.
Maybe I'm just super grownup but I didnt start a tantrum or leave the forum about it, it was carelessness on my behalf.
In 5 days, I'll be infraction-free, so I'll probs be given mod privaleges or sumin.

Brillopad 21-03-2017 08:42 AM

LT speaks his mind and doesn't shy away from controversy - that's a good thing.

They were, it was the OFFICIAL forum of a TV show. The whole thing was hilarious. He worked 9-5 Monday to Friday. Evenings and weekends were straight up anarchy :joker:. I miss that place so much...

I was on that forum for about 9 years, I think I was permanently banned after about 3. But it was only moderated while I was out at school anyway! My daily log-in was making a new account in the evening (they didn't even have email verification  ) and then every morning at 9am it would get banned. I think at one point he made my username and anything related to it an "unacceptable term" when creating an account ... so I had to start just using random names and putting my username in my signature.

Ahh I'm getting all nostalgic now.

Really though. I was a ****ing horror on that site. But not even the worst :hehe:

They had something majorly against the idea of having volunteer mods, and they didn't want to pay more than one person! It was back in the late 90's / early 2000's, the internet was much more "niche" I think. A professional company would just never be associated with a shambles like that these days. There would probably be legal issues! There were at least three 40+ year old guys constantly on talking to 14/15 year old girls :umm2:. Quite openly and blatantly flirting.

I've mentioned in another thread in the past that I won't have a group of members attacking dezzy at every opportunity they get and here we have the same members doing the exact same thing again, we don't allow this to happen to other members and the same goes for staff.

IF anyone has a genuine problem with a mod they can pm another mod or myself and James.

With respect, Josy... I have been incfracted twice in the last couple of weeks for posts that were mild compared to Dezzy's. And he's a moderator. And I did PM James. If moderators are going to be allowed to infract people then they should try to be above reproach themselves.. ir at least not ****ing rude. I've never seen any other moderator act in this way. And I have to say it's all been very out of character for him. Furthermore, It's often the case that people are infracted for reacting to baiting posts that are overlooked by the mods. If you're going to have an system where one person can infract another, then it has to be consitent and fair. And it just isn't. And a word on the overuse of the report button... tell me again why the appeals system was removed?

Completely agree with this. I certainly feel that any mods actively involved in a discussion/disagreement should not be able to infract their 'opponent' Talk about conflict of interests.

Interesting. I have stopped posting on this site, but I really can't let this pass without comment.

I wrote to you and James about a certain moderator, i tried to be constructive about it, but was met with a brick wall from both of you.

I've never been banned, that's not my issue. I do have a problem with bias and unfairness though, and its not happened once, it's repeated time after time after time.

If people are not posting on this site, its because they are being driven away in frustration. While some posters might like to test boundaries and stir things up a bit for a bit of controversy and dare I say it entertainment, there is a clique on here that use passive aggressive tactics to belittle others. The may not have broken any specific rules, but their intentions are clear as are there motives.

I've heard so often that everyone is fair etc etc, its just not true, and if you try and say anything against it you are hit with a break wall or threatened with a ban or whatever. Its laughable, it really is.

Totally agree, sometimes it's not what you say it's the way you say it, I can get on with most people but not when they are just rude and cocky. There is a post amongst this thread already that is inflammatory and by someone who wasn't exactly enamoured with TIBB a while back themselves ,i haven't reported it I shouldn't have to,I'de rather ignore it.that's what I don't like aswell, falseness.:wavey:

Do you have evidence of this because I can't imagine where you got this idea from since you don't have any knowledge of anybody else's infractions aside from your own so how do you know that these baiting posts are overlooked? You can't know because you are drawing conclusions based on nothing.

The appeals section was removed because most people misused it to insult the mods or would waste everyone's time trying to appeal infractions that they obviously deserved. Very few people used the Appeals section correctly.

I make a point of not doing so.

Again, these are conclusions based on bias against me rather than anything factual.

I'd say experience rather than bias.

How could you have any experience of me infracting someone mid debate when you don't know a thing about who is actually infracting you? Like I've said a few times already, the only thing you know for certain is your own infractions, not who gave them to you or the details of other people's infractions.

Thus these are all conclusions based on bias because they aren't based on anything factual.
