No Ellie's a nice girl. Perhaps got too wrapped up with boy stuff in the house, but she's a sweetheart and has a nice personality, like most of the BB18 cast!

OMG the scariest thing ever. I had thought of that moment going on stage on launch so many times over the years in my head but never anticipated how scary it actually would be. I completely blanked out the whole night and all I remember is feeling numb in my body and gravitating towards Ellie because she was smiling so much, so it felt comforting.

Oh I remember one of my curiosities

Did hearing Emma say "vote to save" in Week 1 affect your behaviour in the house? Did you explain to your friends the differences with Vote to Save vs Vote to Evict etc?

And when the vote changed to vote to evict did it affect your behaviour also? Or did you not really listen out for these things? (I know I'd be listening every week for it :joker:)

When did Emma say this? But yeah knowing the vote to save v vote to evict thing definitely affects your behavior - having been in the house I can say 100% that vote to save is the better format for entertaining TV. When it was vote to evict you could tell everyone was trying to be more careful as just getting into an argument can put you at risk of being evicted.

But yeah definitely listened out to it always and was always preparing 5-6 steps in advance - even with who I nominated, what interactions I had etc. Definitely played the game hard, just did not want to vocalise it too much as I didn't know how the British public would respond to it.

Some points: (which I did say in the diary room but not sure if it was shown).

1) Aligning with Arthur and Chanelle early on
2) Emphasizing the divide at all times to create an in-grou/out-group mentality
3) smoking cigarettes and being friends with the non-smokers to cover all angles of the house.
4) using more swear words so my vocabulary matched the other housemates' more
5) putting on fake tan to conform to group norms in the house.
6) Asking the guys to work out with them to create a bond that way.

And my biggest move:

7) Pretending to be weak/sensitive so I was seen as less of a threat within the house.

So my strategies were more towards not being nominated than it was to trick the public. I'm a strategist naturally so it's just in my personality.

Raph why won't you answer my question about Isabelle and Lotan and the way he spoke to and treated her? It looked really bad as a viewer. Also Ellie came across horribly during fight night as well

I think others also looked bad on fight night. Deborah charging towards Ellie? She said she was going For the exit, but I'm not convinced. I agree about these two, they were awful that day.

Vanessa 26-09-2017 09:43 AM

Are you still in touch with Arthur? Such a shame he left. He could have easily won.

Atleast Deborah owned her part in it though(she actually seemed like the only one who properly did). Ellies came across really weird I thought

ETA. Also, I wasn't only referring to how Lotan acted towards Isabelle during Fight Night either, it seemed on going since she entered the house

Yes, I didn't Lotan and Ellie.. I was glad they left, especially Lotan, who I found extremely arrogant.

This is really interesting to know, did you ever cry for the vulnerability factor or was every time you cried real?

Ninastar 26-09-2017 01:11 PM

Have you watched pll yet

Ninastar 26-09-2017 01:17 PM

Also welcome back, I didn’t know you was back!!!

Hey Raph! I loved you in the show and you seem like a really nice guy on the outside too :).

My question is that when each time you were nominated for eviction did you think you would go or did you think you would stay?

Raph congrats on the 2nd place finish my dude :clap2: You being on the show persuaded me to watch BBUK and now I kinda like the show. :D

- To your knowledge do people on the show know about or look at the BB forums at all? Just something I'm kinda curious about and I wonder if they mentioned it.
- Have you caught up on BBUS19 at all / do you plan on watching it or will you skip this year's season after this crazy summer? :joker:
- Did anything surprise you on the show (like how things are done or just about the experience in general) whether it was a positive or negative surprise?
- Was the house divide as strong as it seemed in the edit and who would you say you were closest to from the "other side"?
- Also when did you know you were getting on BB18 and how did you feel?

Thanks my dude!! You're the champ!

1) No I don't think any of the housemates really know about the forums and stuff, as far as I know.
2) No I have not but i'm not sure I want to? I've only really heard bad things about it and tbh I've only liked Paulie as a HG on BBUS in the last few years, find the people really hard to relate to unlike BBCAN.
3) It surprised me how tough it was, i'm not an emotional person at all yet in the house I felt much more emotional because it was very psychologically stressful.
4) The house divide was by far the worst the first day of the love peace and harmony task. The two sides didn't say a word to each other all morning it was crazy, like a true war. And then there's a reason we all got closer after but I don't think i'm allowed to share that. And I was closest to Lotan from the other side originally, and then more Kieran and Tom towards the end. Actually, I was closest to Charlotte throughout whilst in the house (we always laughed about how our friendship would not be shown as it would confuse the divide storyline), but outside more Kieran and Tom.
5) I knew early May already that I was going on. And ah it honestly was the BEST DAY EVER when I got 'the call'. :D

What does the house feel like to live in once it's been 'lived in' - so a few weeks in?

Like it must be very dirty, humid and smelly?

Honestly it just feels like your own home. It never smelt bad and you never really felt like it was dirty cause you just got used to it. It definitely needed that house clean on Chanelle's bday though :)

I thought I would be an early boot, really felt like the public would not get me and the strategic way I saw the game. I thought Chanelle would be an early boot too, same with the sisters and Sukhy - basically all the people who I loved!

I thought Ellie or Kieran had it in the bag to win. But I guess I was wrong!
