Bent Frown is such a pathetic selfish scumbag for saying that he'd be much happier with a channel without BB, when it is C5's flagship show that brings them the most publicity/ratings. What will be their flagship show without BB??? Those tedious benefits documentaries that only get 200k ratings!!!

 SCREW YOU BENT FROWN!!!!!!!

The axing of BB = The death of C5

Netflix would be the best route - I just wish people would stop being so snobby about BB and actually tried to watch it - esp civillian which is better than CBB imho - They have no idea what other carp C5 will replace BB with.
Probably some american show ''like the Dome'' which wont get anything.

I dont understand how they work out ratings either - I ALWAYS watch on catch up - I cant watch it in the evenings - surely that must show or doesnt it? - with no BB I would never go anywhere near C5 infact I dont when its not on.

And Love Island is Rubbish compared to BB.

Ammi 21-01-2018 04:50 AM

...It would be sad for BB to end completely, I think for me what this series has shown more is that the social experiment aspect is still there and that it creates some great talking points and helps to highlight things in a raising awareness, type way...I do think though that only one celebrity series a year would be better and like this time, trying to keep the focus on a more varied blend of housemates..rather than, oh they’re mostly all reality tv celebrities, rather than from such a variety of celebrity backgrounds as we have now...anyway that’s just a personal taste, even choosing housemates who would provide. More confrontational and argumentative house etc can also work I guess...but I don’t feel sort of endless conflict can sustain through the length of time the series both are atm...it’s the exact same as having a ‘boring’ house with very little to discuss, just the other end of the extreme...so maybe if that’s the type of house and housemate provided, make the series much shorter...

Yeah. Anyone else who would take it would probably perform a Frankenstein on it... but if they added live feed, it could work

I think they're losing money on the Rylan trash BBBOTS show.

Who the heck watches that crap. It's the worst show on TV .

That should be the sh@# that's axed.

lewis111 21-01-2018 10:07 AM

Endemol have denied this - called it "total flier"

Endemol can say what they want, they have no control over whether Channel5 renew the contract. Unless they suspect another channel to take it.

Lilac hills 21-01-2018 10:13 AM

Lol at ppl saying c5 will die have u not seen the **** that airs on that state of a channel it’s obvious the demographic are fairly lowest common denominator bs all the shows are essentially substance lacking background noise. I hope someone else takes over Big Brother, someone a little more high brow and a little more up to date

Gstar 21-01-2018 10:15 AM

I’m already looking forward to Love Island 4, a show people actually watch

They'll know if it has been axed though - so it probabaly means no official descision has been made yet and the Star were just trying to be first

Not Rylan being evicted from Borehamwood sobbing with his P45 as the chavs shriek 'OFF OFF OFF'

I'm not trying to sound thick but what does flier mean? I googled it and nothing came up :worry:

No idea I'm just quoting what a Sun reporter quoted from Endemol

Oliver_W 21-01-2018 11:28 AM

I'm gonna guess it's either an obscure term for BS, Endemol meant it's just a pointless thing to pad the newspaper (like a flier), or a typo.

Rob! 21-01-2018 12:42 PM

I mean, we all know the trouble Channel 4 had with filling the schedules after they got rid of BB, it took them years to find anything remotely close to the ratings of publicity the show brought. Channel 5 would have the same problem as well as an additional 3 weeks because of the extra celeb series they show a year.

They will definitely regret pulling the plug but they will only realise that they've chopped off the hand that feeds it after it's already been decapitated.

Oliver_W 21-01-2018 12:44 PM

I love chopping heads off hands.
