what people should realise by now is that Ann says what she does because she believes in it with conviction. She was asked in the house about her views on gay marriage and also about what she thought of homosexuality in general. She gave very clear answers to both. She said she believed in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a women, but everything else was fine in the PRIVACY of their own homes . Everyone who saw that episode completely understood what she meant and where she was coming from, from her religious background. Nothing has changed from that statement that she made

WTF is the world coming to seriously? This constant trying to force people to change their views is so sickening. |
Well firstly.Complaining about homophobia while adding a racist slur in the op isn’t a good start.
Ann’s closest ally in there is a lesbian,She has a decent relationship with Wayne too.She doesn’t dislike them because of their sexuality. Maybe she just doesn’t want it thrust in her face? She never said ‘urgh two men disgusting’ either. As has been said she doesn’t like seeing or hearing PDA’s from anyone. She also left the room when people were disgussing kids. Is she kidophobic too? Her views on the sanctity of marriage are religious. She never said that nobody should be allowed to be gay. Many people don’t like watching PDA’s including me.Nothing wrong with that. Plus as has been said Shane said that for a reaction,Got one and then moaned in the garden to make Ann look bad.He obvs sees her as competition. |

I'm suddenly reminded of why I end up giving up on this forum every year, it's ridiculous the hysteria on here.
Let me try to explain from a grown ups point of view: We would often try to wind my mother up by talking about sex and she'll scream at us "that is disgusting", we laugh at her and that's the end of the matter. That's the way she was brought up, full stop, I don't expect her to change and neither should I. Considering I've never even seen my Mam and Dad holding hands and I know they're not comfortable with people hugging, kissing, touching etc. in public I simply wouldn't subject them to it. That's the way they feel. I'm not going change their views and I don't want to. Some people need to grow up and stop getting so stressed out in life because others have different views to them. It's really doing no good for the LGBTQ cause to be constantly hysterical. |
