...I don’t know if you’ve seen this...

...it mentions two series being made and one might be a dramatised version if they’re seeking to cast an actress as Sophie...the other has been 5 years in the making, so a huge amount of research that is probably not in any of the articles we’ve read...and 4, one hour programmes...the filming will start next week in Cork....I wonder when things like this are made...for instance, will Ian Bailey receive any financial payment for taking part, is what I’m wondering...

Oh I hope he doesn't, whether he did it or not, he isn't very nice guy . Not sure how tasteful a dramatization would be considering they would have to invent the bulk of the attack and the aftermath really

Also, I did a massive binge of Little Fire's Everywhere. Really good show, fantastic acting as well from Kerry and Reece.

I finished Blood Of Zeus, which was fun enough, and I've just started The Queen's Gambit.

...it’s such a great watch and the younger actors were terrific as well...especially Megan Stott as Izzy and Lexi Underwood as Pearl......Reece is a total goddess, I love the layered characters that she often plays ...

Ammi, have you watched Hunters on Prime? If you haven't I'd recommend it

Cherie 19-11-2020 08:55 AM

i'm watching the Crown. It's probably the least flattering series yet in it's portrayal of the royal family

Spoiler:

it turns out that Andrew is the Queens favourite child

..OH my Lord, the first episode...I’m hooked from that opening scene a5 the pool../...barbecue...

Spoiler:

...I had to look up about the human chess to see if that actually happened...it didn’t but obviously the stuff that did happen was unspeakable in its cruelty and it’s evil...I find gory and torture very difficult so I am struggling in a few places ...but the storyline is so gripping and obviously based on horrific truths...so I will continue with it, seeing how it develops etc...that bit when he was throwing darts into Jonah and I didn’t see how he could survive..I could barely take breath...

Yes I know some parts are a bit gory but it's worth it

...just finished Hunters and watched the first episode of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel...it seems ok so far.../good cast, likeable characters etc.....

bots 22-11-2020 07:34 AM

Mrs Maisel got a surprisingly big tick from me

user104658 22-11-2020 10:50 AM

We're catching up on The Crown, not on the most recent season yet, I think the last episode was the one where they send Charles off with the military because they don't want him to shack up with Camilla.

Honestly, these last few episodes (The One Where Charles Learns Welsh, The One Where The Abdicated King Dies, and The One Where They All Thing Camilla Is Damaged Goods) have managed to make me feel quite bad for ol' Charlie, which is quite a feat :joker:. No wonder he likes his gin.

user104658 22-11-2020 10:53 AM

Should also be noted that I am absolutely treating The Crown as a 100% accurate documentary and no one can persuade me otherwise.

Is it possible to watch this in isolation I,e if you haven’t watched the previous series?

Absolutely. Every 2 seasons they clear out the actors and bring in a new lot

Ive really enjoyed the crown. As TS says, it really does challenge preconceptions on occasion, in other times you hear yourself saying ... i knew it.

It's really unflattering to many of the key figures, and the 4th series pretty much crucifies the entire royal family

Super I tried the first series but couldn’t particularly get into it, but love Olivia Coleman so will give it another go, cheers BOTs
