Her dad will sort it out no doubt arista,I assume they have to land at Heathrow if that's what their tickets say.just hope she isn't delayed as she is off to Wales on another holiday when she gets back, I hope the protesters don't go that far as many people will have their Easter breaks spoilt.

Emma Thompson
At Marble Arch
the one official place

[She says:
"Hello fellow humans...
"I am so proud and thrilled to be part of Extinction Rebellion - the new movement
that has come up behind all the old one's that
I've been part of since I was 16 years old,
a movement that's telling like it is and saying to government
'there is no more time - you can't lie and you can't stall any longer,
and we will occupy until you take action because that is the only
we are going to save our planet'.]

MP Javid: "They have no right to cause misery
for the millions of people"
Speaking after a briefing with
Met Police commissioner Cressida Dick,
the Home Secretary Sajid Javid said:
"Over recent days, commuters trying
to earn a living have been unable to
travel to work and businesses
have been disrupted.
"Emergency vehicles have faced difficulties
navigating the road networks
and the demonstrations have put added
pressure on police officers whose job
it is to solve crimes and protect the public.
"Let me be clear - I totally condemn
any protesters who are stepping outside
the boundaries of the law.
"They have no right to cause misery
for the millions of people who are
trying to lead their daily lives.
Unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated.
"I expect the police to take a firm
stance and use the full force of the law."

Mayor Sadiq Khan reacts to the group's
plans to disrupt Heathrow Airport tomorrow:
"I'm extremely concerned by reports that
climate protesters are planning to disrupt
Heathrow Airport tomorrow.
This is extremely dangerous, illegal
and is putting an unacceptable toll
on our police force and our city.
"I support the democratic right
to peaceful protest and agree that
governments need to do more to
tackle climate change,
but these protests are now putting Londoners'
safety at risk.

Nah, it's much better to pretend it doesn't exist and act like they're being inconvenienced by protests while ignoring the fact that their children and their children's children are utterly ****ed as it stands.

I imagine you'll be far more sick of the sea level when it rises to the point that you no longer have a home.

Nothing compared to the arrogance of people pretending that we aren't currently standing on a knife's edge because they don't want to face the truth of how ****ed we are.

Do you think blocking traffic for a few days will magically make the government make the necessary changes? Or would it be more likely to piss everyone off and make it harder to take the cause seriously?
