I love Phil :joker:

Greg! 18-12-2020 02:37 PM

I am so obsessed with the feud between Suki and Phil!!!

The editing is really annoying me?

I don’t know when it started but it NEEDS to stop!

They think they're making a Netflix mini series. Bloody fools.

Oh, her eyes lit up then didn’t they!

Really enjoyed the santa audition scene, it’s so refreshing to see something happy and positive for once. Kim has injected some good vibes into the square since her return, her and Karen work great together plus they’re both friends with Kat so hopefully an upcoming trinity! Also, Isaac

Now onto the bad..

Mick really could of done without this storyline. They’ve not long recovered from a huge strain in their marriage with Linda’s alcoholism, not to mention them constantly having depressing stories. Other than Denise and Jack who are very recent there’s no strong couples on the square, I miss when Mick and Linda were the trophy couple and would give other people relationship advice - very hard to believe now

This Ian thing is clearly being dragged out until next week. They’re putting way too much attention on a crap whodunnit which will climax in one episode with little to no aftermath when there’s two huge abuse stories that have been badly portrayed and undoubtedly will both be used as plot devices

Really hoping the rumours about a new executive producer in 2021 is true

Amy Jade 18-12-2020 10:05 PM

The Mick storyline is awful, they've really hurt the Carter's imo, it'd been so powerful to have him maybe not manage to find a job in the pandemic and see Linda support him as he spiraled. Show something people are going through right now and let Linda and Mick shine rather than make Linda look awful.

This. We literally had their marriage falling apart before lockdown when they were divorcing and instead of moving them forward they're repeating the story again.

Would have been refreshing to see them go through something stronger as a couple.

But I've noticed Mick always has to come out shining. No matter the storyline Linda, Shirley, Tina, Mick, Dean, Babe, Whitney, Lee etc have to be the villains and Mick is a saint.

Gstar 19-12-2020 03:31 AM

I would say a Nancy return would be nice but not under this character assassinating production team. Same thing with Janine

Gstar 19-12-2020 03:35 AM

So glad Janine is absent. Can you imagine how much of a parody they would of made her in the whodunnit

Gstar 21-12-2020 09:11 PM

Are Eastenders going to begin every episode with showing all the suspects until the climax?

Ian setting off the fireworks was dumb and made no sense, and what for? Only thing it did was spoil the relationships in his family even more :idc:

The flashback of Ian and Tina’s fight was horrendous! Literally something out of a low budget horror movie, they both looked like wolves hunting eachother, not to mention how out of character Ian hitting Tina looked. In fact, even Tina hitting Ian is out of character

Using a Lucy Beale award to hit Ian was the icing on the cake :skull: although Max burying the award can indicate that he’s covering for someone (I still don’t think it’s him) and if he is covering for someone it’ll be Bobby or Linda :worry: after such a bad whodunnit the least they can give us is a non-terrible culprit

Also, when Mick’s abuse storyline is over he’s now gonna have to deal with Linda sleeping with Max. How much more are they going to ruin this family?

Vanessa 21-12-2020 09:12 PM

So do we think it was Max? Or was he covering for Linda?

Daniel-X 21-12-2020 11:28 PM

The show is possibly the worst it’s ever been for me at the moment. I feel like I’m watching Hollyoaks, where nothing makes sense and characters are just plot devices.

Daniel-X 21-12-2020 11:29 PM

Like 2013/2017 were mind numbingly boring but this is just complete drivel.

Gstar 21-12-2020 11:46 PM

Despite being off air for nearly three months this has still been Eastenders worst year

Amy Jade 22-12-2020 04:59 AM

I think it's the writing that's been terrible this year. There has been some brilliant acting such as Linda's alcoholism was done brilliant by Kellie, Sharon's heartbreak over Denny was fantastic and of course Jess was amazing as Chantelle and even Whitney, Grey, Bobby, Raine and others are great actors it's just the writing has been so repetitive and it feels like they don't know the characters.

Linda cheating on Mick just doesn't feel right, Ian randomly becoming a super villain and they spent a year building Stuart and Raine into a really nice couple and they've turned them into cartoons now.

One thing that's really annoying me is that some interesting characters are being faded out with absolutely no storyline and yet they seem to squeeze Ben into absolutely everything, he goes from storyline to storyline one after the other.

Ammi 22-12-2020 05:04 AM

...if Linda was going to cheat then surely it wouldn’t be with Max...I mean, that makes no sense at all...I can’t watch that sort of illogical nonsense...has 2020 not given us enough rubbish...

Gstar 22-12-2020 08:03 PM

I’m starting to think the attacker isn’t Sharon anymore because they’ve been making it way too obvious

Gstar 23-12-2020 04:44 AM

Loved the beginning scene with Kim

Denver 24-12-2020 07:39 PM

We love the Heather tribute

Denver 24-12-2020 07:40 PM

A beautiful tribute to some former characters

Gstar 25-12-2020 02:12 AM

Kellie Bright performed well tonight and the sudden change of heart from Mick towards Tina gives me some hope

A beautiful tribute ruined by the Ian thing at the end, it was giving me pretty little liars vibes

Gstar 25-12-2020 02:39 AM

I forgot to mention that the attacker is so obviously Sharon

Morgan. 25-12-2020 07:03 AM

I just saw in the paper they’re heading for a
Spoiler:

Mick suicide attempt
on New Years :worry: I really hope they do it justice

Vanessa 25-12-2020 07:27 AM

My theory :
Sharon was the one who attacked Ian.
Maybe she knows about Denny and Phil helped to cover it up.
Peter was the one behind the RIP Ian, the graffiti and the brick in the window.
