Yes more than 1,000
were all close together.

And the Police asked them to go home

...this was always going to be difficult though, Arista...Sarah was trying to go home but her life was brutally taken by an officer of the law, someone who also should have been protecting her...

Nicky91 14-03-2021 07:43 AM

those people had no rights to be out on the streets and breaking covid rules

also shame on you Princess Kate, especially now when royals are under fire anyway :nono: tut tut

Yes I like her but I don’t agree with what she did yesterday.

Yes he used his Police Status to Kidnap her
I assume he raped her, then killed her.
Evil Police Officer.

But last night those women were
breaking Covid Restrictions Rules

So the Police asked them to go home
they refused.
The Police last night were doing their Job.

...I noticed that the Twitter vid showed two female officers with the lady...?...I wonder if there were purposefully many female police officers on duty at the vigil, as oppose to male officers...

Yes clever move.

It just looked a bit heavy handed.
I know police were just doing their job, but there's no need for that.

Oliver_W 14-03-2021 09:07 AM

So the police don't see fit to intervene when "protesters" are causing trouble and committing vandalism, but standing around with candles is just too much.

Rubbish Vanessa
they had been there for hours.

Not in that Edit
The Police asked them all to go home
they ignored the Police.

it is a form of social gathering, and that is not allowed these times

Kate should have at least had her mask on, but then it wouldn’t be such a good photo opportunity:shrug:
Not a very good example to set to be honest.

user104658 14-03-2021 09:56 AM

I actually didn't notice that she wasn't wearing a mask (forgot about Covid for a moment :omgno: ) and I have to wonder why? I very much doubt its accidental but I'm struggling to figure out the reasoning.

That's not what happened...They had had thier moment with the candles, and the police stood back and allowed it.

It was when they were then asked to move on that some remained and started stirring up trouble.

It is not a legal requirement to wear a mask outside in a public space.

I don’t see why she’s taking the risk of walking and brushing past people .. no mask but no bodyguards who were close enough to stop someone doing something crazy ..

True and though while it's a crowded place, thinking about it logically, it's very unlikely that members of the public actually got close to Kate. The picture makes it look like there are people nearby but it's probably forced-perspective for effect (like all those "crowded beach" pictures last summer).

Just more press dishonesty, I guess.

From a PR perspective though I'm surprised she wasn't wearing one anyway.

Oliver_W 14-03-2021 11:22 AM

Yeah I've not seen footage, but I doubt Kate was among the crowds like a normal person. She'd surely have a small entourage or something? And largely largely be in a different "section" while there?

Apparently she went "on the downlow" and was only papped by a member of the public. There will definitely have been security nearby though. The narrative is all a little odd... like I said I'd have expected "masks for PR reasons" at all times to be the default for high-profile figures, even if not technically necessary.

She could also quite feasibly have slipped in and out completely anonymously if she WAS wearing a mask - mandatory masks must be great for celebs who don't want to be recognised. A nice big facemask and a baseball cap and an A-lister could have a wander round Tesco without anyone batting an eye.
