We're playing very well 2-0 up at Vienna, strange seeing football in an empty stadium again

Spurs meanwhile are 1-0 down to the team 5th place in the Slovenian league

They (Spurs) lost by a score of 2-1.

Oh Tottenham.

I keep saying this about Tottenham, but I hope that this is the lowest that they can go and the only way is up for them, because seriously at this point they're gonna be in the bottom half of the table if they keep playing like they're being managed by Aitor Karanka.

Hopefully Karanka does do well with the next team that he does manage in all seriousness (as long as it's nobody near us in the table) but back to Spurs, you would be forgiven for not thinking that only 2 or 3 years ago that this team finished in the top 4, now they'll be lucky to be top 8.

"I did not like what happened tonight," said Conte. "I must be honest and tell you that after three-and-a-half weeks, I am starting to understand the situation.

"I am happy to stay here but at the same time I must be honest and tell you we need to work a lot to improve the quality of the squad. We are Tottenham and in this moment there is an important gap [to the top teams in England].

I admire his honesty.

Winning is about the culture of the club. If it ain't there then you're not gonna win anything. You can buy one of the greatest players that ever lived, like Manchester United did, and you can still go backwards if the winning mentality isn't there.

Nottingham Forest and Everton had their greatest success's as clubs when they had a big drinking culture in the club.

Brian Clough used to make sure the players had a few glasses of wine the night before a game, so they got a good night's sleep and took away the nervous tension. They won back to back European cups. Everton were one of the greatest clubs in Europe in the mid eighties. That team had a good drinking culture too.

Nowadays the teams are so divided by culture, language ect, they can't build any team spirit.

"i'm happy to stay" translated means I made a huge mistake coming here and I will leave at the first opportunity

Following the press release published by Tottenham at 9 p.m. this Wednesday, Stade Rennais FC would like to clarify the following facts. In a video conference at 7.45 p.m. between representatives of UEFA, Tottenham and SRFC, the Spurs director of football announced her intention not to play the UEFA Europa Conference League game. Thursday evening. Unilateral decision which has not been confirmed by UEFA in any way.

The Tottenham representative did not want to announce the number of her players affected by the Covid when the rule states that a match must be played as long as the team has 13 outfielders and a keeper.

She argued for a decision by the English authorities without advancing any official document. As the match was not officially canceled by UEFA, Stade Rennais FC upheld their decision to play.

Faced with this "London fog", the SRFC reserves the right to approach UEFA. This lack of fair play is all the more glaring as Tottenham had confirmed by email that the match would be held at the start of the afternoon before warning Rennes of their intention not to play just after their landing in London City.

Barcelona knocked out of the champions league at the group stage is the best news of the week

unsurprising given Koeman messed it up most of the games

Nicky91 09-12-2021 01:34 PM

Atalanta - Villarreal was postponed last night because of heavy snowfall, so unrelated to covid but snowy conditions were just awful

and things look better now, and the stadium has been getting cleaned all day long now

Nicky91 09-12-2021 01:38 PM

Group C of europa league is most exciting

Leicester best on paper with 8 points

Spartak and Napoli with 7 points

and Legia has 6 points

sooo Legia - Spartak anything can happen there

Napoli - Leicester, well a nailbiter that one, for any Leicester fans since they need the win

in case Legia wins, they go to 9 points

in case Napoli wins, 10 points

soo Leicester can still advance to quarter finals EL, play off EL or worst case scenario play off conference league

Nicky91 09-12-2021 03:46 PM

Stade Rennais are pissed at Spurs for being so reckless with all those covid cases
