On another forum that I subscribe to, a barrack room lawyer is waffling about intent and outcome.
He maintains that even if the guy with the laser had ‘intent’ to shine it into Schmeichel’s eyes, the ‘outcome’ was no injury.
Ergo, (according to him), the CPS wouldn’t charge the guy with the laser, as they’d have zero chance of a conviction!

People get charged with attempted murder though don’t they ?

They must have broke some offence ( serious as well ) .

They prosecute those idiots who shine lasers into helicopters and plane cockpits - what’s the difference
