Lol, I will answer that. I didn't go there because, well, I have no strong feelings for her either way. I feel that she takes a ridiculous bashing at times and other times I can see where people are coming from. If I feel I can see another side to things or I think that its something gone too far like the subject of this thread, I will post my opinion, hence my references to Charles and Kate in this thread but in all honesty, if I never heard about any of them again I would lose no sleep :laugh: . I only have a passing interest in the Royals as my late mum was an avid Royal reader....more historical than current but enough that she discussed her opinions with me.

I agree 100% with what you've said Joey.

Especially about the part where people believe anything that Newspapers (especially The Sun) tell them.

I get that's her version of events.

But personally I feel like both Harry and William were stupid to not put their differences aside when knowing that the Queen's health was deteriorating.

I suspect that will be something that both of them will regret later in life.

Like your Mum, I too am very interested in historical Royalty, from Alfred the Great to the present day. I read and read and read, my bookshelves are full of the stuff. Every dynasty had their own trials and tribulations and wonderful, fascinating stories. In every dynasty there were great people and mediocre people and awful people. I would have liked to have had a chinwag with your Mum, there aren't many people I know who want to talk Royal stuff, which is why I come here for the present Royal goings on and another Forum where we discuss other dynasties.
My Dad, when he was alive, met quite a few Royals, when he worked at Stormont and had to attend functions for them at Hillsborough Castle, and I met the Queen and Philip and Charles on a few occasions as a child, (I always wanted to meet Diana, but never did) so that is where my interest started from I think. Sorry for rambling on…:laugh:

I've avoided purposely threads on the Royals.
They are a part of the UK as to both history and the present however.

I think if you totalled my posts on Royal threads particularly the Sussexes it would fall well short of others on here.

Not that I SHOULD have to avoid the threads or be pulled up if I don't.

Furthermore while this thread has the Duchess of Sussex as part of it.
It's really about Clarkson and his vile views.
Which I abhor on just about all the subjects he makes them on.
From years ago ridiculing Gordon Brown with his having lost an eye in his life.
Or other controversial hateful comments he makes on others he doesn't particularly like.

But what's them being liars got to do with what Jeremy Clarkson has said? This isn't just aimed at you Sheriff, this is aimed at everyone who keeps saying how much they don't like Meghan, and to me you don't have to like Meghan to think that what Jeremy Clarkson said was bang out of order.

And contrary to popular belief, to those Tweets that LT has put up on here, you don't have to be left wing to find his comments offensive.

Speaking for myself I never really paid Clarkson too much attention apart from his spat with a Producer on Top Gear, and tbh nowadays I feel like a suspension sufficed in that particular incident.

However he has clearly crossed the line imo, it shouldn't even have to be said, and speaking for myself I'd be saying exactly the same thing if Meghan had've wrote a column with this level of hatred towards Clarkson.

There's nothing wrong with talking about your own interests and personal life experiences.:)
