People forget how successful RM have been in this competition. It was never going to be a stroll for city like people were saying

I was wondering why the keeper never dived last night for Bernardo Silva’s penalty down the middle !!

The goalie was apparently tipped off by Rudiger and Kepa

Villa are the only English team with a realistic chance of progressing in Europe tonight. Crazy to think it's a very real possibility there won't be any English clubs in all 3 European competitions.

Liverpool over the years have been the comeback kings in Europe over the years though, could be an interesting game. I don't see West Ham pulling it back.

Haaland relies on service to score goals, and he didn't get any. That's just the type of player he is

Hardly tipped off, they study the way the goalie moves in training

My mistake they told the keeper about Kovacic’s preference to go to his left corner

Kepa and Rudiger were with Kovacic at Chelsea
:::

Another former Chelsea player with local knowledge, Rudiger pointed to his left when former team-mate Mateo Kovacic stood up to take City's third penalty. Lunin heeded his advice, and saved diving to his right after Kovacic went the way Rudiger suggested.

penalty shootouts are always a lottery. The simple fact is that city couldn't see off RM in normal or extra time, so they are not the winning machine everyone has been saying they are.

At this point in the season, the stakes are always high. You can win or lose everything in a handful of days.

What i will say is that this will be a wake up call to city, and they will be stronger next season

Barca completely blew up when their defender was sent off  The norm is that the 10 men usually shut up shop and thats the game over. At that point they had a 2 goal advantage. Crazy

I agree.

Nobody is safe against Real Madrid, regardless of how good they are at home.

Just wait until they have Mbappe and that brilliant young Brazilian wonderkid ( the new Romario) in the summer

As long as we stay up, I honestly don't care.

Also my Dad was really happy about the result, so I can't begrudge it too much.

PSG have Xavi Simons too next season :D the dutch wonderkid whose doing again brilliantly this season at RB Leipzig

so they won't miss Mbappe that much i think

Lee and Simons would be a dynamic duo on the wings i think
