Spoiler:

My memory is not amazing sometimes so remind me - do we know much about pre-Lumon Milchick i.e. his childhood and growing up... is it ever stated that Milchick also came up through the Wintertide programme? Is there dialogue that alludes to or outright states that that I've forgotten or do we assume it to be the case that it's the same "pathway" for all of them?

Also interesting that there's now ample evidence that it's a failed brainwashing; with Cobel, Miss Huang and then Milchick himself all showing signs of (what Lumon would see as) unprofessionalism/insubordination

my observation is that the more the subordinates rebel, the more the management levels lose their own indoctrination. What i'm confused about is why Gemma will die if they finish their current task

Spoiler:

…he’s the guy that put rhythm into Lumon is who he is…no one’s got moves like Milchick moves…

Ammi 18-03-2025 09:17 AM

…but though…

Spoiler:

…maybe there is more than one Milchick, like with the goat room…the insubordinate Milchick is not ready yet/not refined yet…still in his process of some kind of pure indoctrination…

Spoiler:

I don't think there was much back story at all about Milchick. I think I'll probably rewatch the whole thing when this season is over

Ammi 18-03-2025 10:44 AM

…for anyone who wants to look into and read it, there is apparently a free Apple companion e-book written by the Severance creators and it covers more of the characters and their back stories…Milchick is featured in there…

Is there anything else worth watching on Apple TV? I'm currently paying an £8.99/month sub just for Severance. Trying to be a responsible adult and not use the ... alternative sources ... for telly so I have like £50+ in TV subs at the moment :idc:. I guess if there's not I'll just cancel when the season ends until S3 :joker:.

user104658 18-03-2025 10:58 AM

For those interested that's Netflix, Prime, Paramount+, Disney, Apple, Crunchyroll (Anime sub, my eldest is a little weeb) and on-and-off I have to sub to Now TV (From, HOTD etc.) ... and NowTV is an awful platform, borderline unusable.

Slow horses is brilliant.

Ammi 18-03-2025 11:22 AM

@Quantum Boy …yeah, I was just about to say Slow Horses as well, that’s an excellent series and Silo as well as Jess said…I haven’t watched Foundation…

…Bad Sisters is a good watch and H/Jack with Idris Elba…I really liked Lady in the Lake but I’m not sure if it’ll be your thang or no…The Crowded Room is an excellent watch and. Lack Bird is very gripping, that’s the first series I watched on Apple…Shining Girls is an excellent watch…and Servant is a bit different……

…with movies, The Gorge is a fun watch…/…I would recommend…

Silo is really good.

i honestly thought the second season of silo was boring as hell, i couldn't watch it more than a couple of episodes. Way too slow for my taste. Slow is sometimes fine if the story is riveting, but it just didn't do it for me

Episode 7 was really good I thought, easily the best episode of the Season imo.

Spoiler:

Irving and Burt's stuff was interesting in episode 6 as well imo, definitely will be good to see how that develops going forward.

Episode 8 happened, hopefully 9 & 10 will be a lot better.
